Project Management Certificate - Online Format
The Project Management Certificate program is an in-depth, interactive learning experience that thoroughly covers
the 5 core process groups included in every project. The program is designed to help prepare students for passing
the PMP certification exam through the Project Management Institute. While some students may choose not to take
the exam, the learning achieved will prepare graduates to be an effective and knowledgeable project manager.

4. Monitoring and Controlling: processes that compare the results to the plan and make adjustments for
future work
5. Closing: processes that complete the project or a phase or component of a project or procurement,
create records, and archive information
Course Format: The project management online certificate program includes instructor-led online sessions as well
as self-paced modules over a 4 week time period.
Week 1: 1 hour Mandatory Orientation on Monday from 6:30 – 7:30 pm plus 9 hours of self-paced online
modules to prepare for Week 2 of in class online training. There will be an instructor-led review session on
Friday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm recapping the self-paced material.
Week 2: 8 hours of Instructor-led online training class sessions scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
Week 3: 9 hours of self-paced online modules to prepare for Week 4 of in class online training. There will
be an instructor-led review session on Friday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm recapping the self-paced material.
Week 4: 8 hours of Instructor-led online training class sessions scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
