Observation:
▶ Bags of yarn are wrapped on plastic cheese and
empty cone (paper cone) comes from different
spinning mills.
▶ For dyeing purpose, the yarn is transferred from empty
cone to dye tube or spring tube. And this process is
known aschesses winding.
▶ The yarn isseparated based upon the quality, here
known ascount.
▶ Setof bagsthatarrives from a spinning mill comeswith
a number on the bags issaid to be the lotnumberand
batch.
▶ Depending upon the count(80’ or 60’), the dye tube
or spring tube is used for winding.
▶ As the dye colour is given the dyes are matched and
tested with 10gm of yarn in the lab.
▶ The lab person dilutes the colours and chemicals in a
specific proportion according to the colour.
▶ The ratio is then sentto the supervisorof the lab
departmentand then approved.
▶ Then it isheaded to the dyeing department for dyeing
process.
▶ The chesses are stacked one above the other and then
placed inside a huge container for dyeing.
▶ The dyeing process isdone for about8-14 hours.
▶ After an hour a sample istaken for testing the colour of
the yarn.
▶ After testing it, if the testis with good results, then the
process continues.

▶ If the test iswith bad results, then the mistake isfound

and then corrected using chemicals ordyes.
▶ After 8 to 12 hours of dyeing the dyed yarn is taken out
fordrying.
▶ After drying the yarn which is winded upon paper cone
and then packed for dispatch.
▶ The total time taken for the product to be completely
processed takes about10 to 15 days.
Conclusion:-
The internship program has presented an excellent
opening for me to explore the actual dimension of “yarn
dyeing “. I can conclude that there have been a lot I’ve
learnt from sun yarn processors.
Needlessto say, the technical aspects of the work I have
done are notflawless and could be improved. As
someone with no clear experience in the process of
dyeing I was surprised with the amount of work and
procedures involved.
I gained a lot of insight of the procedures. I was given
exposure to all the departments. The friendly welcome
of allthe employeesand their sharing of their experience
along the long journey of work isappreciating.as a
conclusion the two importantthings I’ve learnt is time
management and self-motivation.

TakeawayfromtheInternship:
▶ This internship taught me how to be confidentand
learn new topicsproperly withoutstruggling.
▶Italso helped me in gaining confidence and interest.
▶Ittaught me thatthe practice in learning and reading
will be helpful where ever we go.
▶Italso taughtme that if we have interest in anything.
It will be easy and simple for usto learn.
▶I also came to know that nothing iseasy and simple
as it may seem unless we are put to that situation.
▶Italso givesa new experience and a clearvision for
our future.
