Language Biography
I can use my Language Biography to help me learn the language I need for
school and for the things I do every day.

It can help me to think about:

● Where I can learn language

● How I like to learn
● What I have learnt
● What I need to learn

Where I use and learn languages.

When I get up in the morning I speak Ukrainian .

On the street I hear Ukrainian.

With my friends I speak Ukrainian and English .

During my leisure activities I speak English.

In my class I hear English and German.

In my class I speak English and German.

I read in English.

I watch films/movies in English.

How I learn.

Vocabulary

When I want to learn and remember new words I write them out and repeat
them for a while. I also create a quiz that helps me remember words.
Reading

When I want to read something I am looking for an interesting book or I am

looking for an interview, article or text on the Internet.

Listening
When I want to understand what I am hearing I listen to podcasts or watch
movies and write unfamiliar words. I also like to watch foreign bloggers who
talk about themselves and their day.

Speaking

When I want to speak I write to my friends who are native speakers of the
language, and we talk about any topic.

Writing

When I want to write something, I write about my day, I write about something
interesting in my diary. It is very convenient and I can track my progress in
language learning.

When I want to learn something new I like to:

Yes No Don’t know

Hear it first, then say it +

Say it again and again to +
myself
Use it in class with my +
teacher
Use it with other people in +
my class
Use it outside class +
Write it in my notes +
Use a tape and listen to it +
again and again
I learn best by:
Yes No Don’t know
?
Hearing new information, then +
repeating it
Repeating it to myself again and +
again
Using it in a real situation as soon +
as possible
Writing and memorizing it from +
my notes
Recording it on a tape and +
listening to it at home
Writing it in my notes and +
reviewing my notes from time to
time

My favourite ways of learning are: writing it in my notes and then repeating it.
Also I repeated it to myself again and again.
