MADE4Learners FRAMEWORK
Distance Online
Approach Blended Distance Online / Blended
Technical o Hardware: Desktop/ laptop, and/or Smartphone, and/or Tablet
Requirements o Software/App: MS Teams PC/mobile app, PDF, Email, Scanner
o Materials, etc: Drawing tools, bondpaper and pens, Scientific Calculator
Communication o MS Team Group Chat, institutional email, text/call
Means o Instructors Email: [email protected]; contact no. 09216691001
o Learning Management System: MS Teams
Reminders o The learning activities will be uploaded in MS TEAMS. If not possible, send
LECTURE through institutional email ([email protected])
o DEADLINE:
o Activities are given a set of deadlines after being posted online. Assessments
are quizzes and major exams (prelim, midterm, prefinal and final exams)
which are held in face-to-face sessions.
o All notes and lectures/discussions will be uploaded in MS teams before or
after discussions.
REMINDERS
LABORATORY o The course is a hybrid approach wherein laboratory experiments are
performed onsite.
o Each group is composed of 9-10 members which are divided into onsite
and online members. Onsite members are the ones who performed the
experiments and also take photos and videos during the experiment while
the online members are assigned to do the laboratory final report and
instructional video on how the experiment was done which includes the
procedure and the results of the experiment.
o The deadline for the final report and instructional video is a week after the
experiment was performed.
o The format of the final report is provided. It should be clear that this is a
final report, not preliminary, and that it should be clean and neat even if you
do not have good penmanship. The final reports are scanned using a Cam
scanner or a readily available scanner before submission.
o All members (both online and onsite) are required to submit a rating of
each member. Online members rate their co-members as well as the onsite
members. Ratings for onsite are collected right after every experiment.
Online members are collected only in MS teams (assignment setting).
GRADING SYSTEM
Midterm Average, MA
= 40% Formative Assessment + 40% Summative Assessment + 20% Synoptic Assessment
where:
Formative Assessment = Class Standing like quizzes, seatwork, homework, etc.
Summative Assessment = 15% Prelim Exam + 25% Midterm Exam
Synoptic Assessment = Laboratory Experiments
Final Average, FA
= 30% MG + 20% Formative Assessment + 35% Summative Assessment + 15% Synoptic
Assessment
where:
Formative Assessment = Class Standing like quizzes, seatwork, homework, etc.
Summative Assessment = 15% Prefinal Exam + 20% Final Exam
