safety week I am here today to give a speech on safety at home. Nowadays many children
are often left alone at home because their parents are away at work. Therefore, it is of

great importance to learn some home safety tips.

Firstly, do not leave your house gate and front door open make sure that you
never leave your house keys in a door. This serves as an invitation to would-be robbers
and kidnappers to break into your home easily.
Secondly, do not leave sharp object like knife and scissors lying about in the house.
Keep them in the drawers when you are done with them. Many have sought medical
treatments at clinic and hospital for cut and bruise caused by these potentially dangerous
instruments left scattered around.
Beside that make sure to turn off the gas stove and any electrical appliances when
they are not in use. Remember short circuit may trigger fire mishaps when we connect to

any electrical appliances to one single socket. This is too often the cause of most fires in
the home so use them sensibly.
