CBSDH3SEG Dual Operated Anti Two Block Device

OPERATION
THE BWB "CBSDH3EG" IS A 2 WAY, NORMALLY CLOSED, HYDRAULIC LINE ACTUATOR, WHICH
RECEIVES HYDRAULIC SUPPLY PRESSURE (PORT B) FROM THE CRANE'S HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THIS ACTUATOR
ALSO HOUSES A
2 POSITION, SINGLE POLE, DOUBLE THROW (SPDT), EXPLOSION PROOF, PROXIMITY SWITCH. THE SWITCH IS
WIRED TO EITHER OPEN OR CLOSE ITS CONTACTS UPON ACTUATION, AND IS CONNECTED TO THE ACTUATOR'S
RECEIVING DEVICE OR SYSTEM.

DURING NORMAL OPERATION, THE ACTUATOR WILL REMAIN IN THE DOWN POSITION, AS THE CRANE
CABLE TRAVELS FREELY UP AND DOWN THROUGH THE CENTER. SUPPLY PRESSURE (PORT B) IS BLOCKED AND
THE OUTLET (PORT A) IS OPEN TO THE RESERVOIR.

SHOULD THE CRANE CABLE BE RETRIEVED INTO A "TWO-BLOCKING" CONDITION, THE ACTUATOR WILL BE
MOVED TO THE UP POSITION BY THE CRANE BALL. THE SUPPLY PRESSURE (PORT B) PASSES THROUGH THE
OUTLET (PORT A) AND IS RETURNED TO THE RESERVOIR. FURTHER UPWARD MOTION OF THE CABLE, BY USE OF
THE CRANE CONTROL BLOCK, WILL BE PREVENTED. UPWARD MOVEMENT OF THE ACTUATOR WILL ALSO CAUSE
THE SWITCH TO OPERATE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT'S RECEIVING DEVICE OR SYSTEM.

WHEN MOTION IS RESTORED TO THE CRANE CONTROL BLOCK AND THE CABLE IS LOWERED, THE
ACTUATOR WILL RETURN TO THE NORMAL OPERATING POSITION.
