1. I move this application before your good office to request you to kindly consider granting
a letter of recommendation in my name for the position of a legal intern (or any such
position in any other name).
2. I am currently searching for such a position in order to avail internship opportunity in the
month of December 2022 and at this point such a letter of recommendation, if added with
other supporting documents, would benefit me immensely in securing the said objectives.
3. Therefore, by the virtue of this application I request you to grant me the same.
4. Statement of purpose delineating the specific reasons and objectives is attached herewith
for your ready reference.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
FOR PROCURING LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

In accordance with the academic calendar for the academic session 2022-23 semester breaks are
set to commence from 9th December, 2022 and last till 8th January 2023.

And therefore, in order to successfully utilize the said period, I wish to work as a legal intern:

1. With either an independent law practitioner OR,


2. With a Law firm OR,
3. With any Non-Governmental Organization OR,
4. With the District or State Legal Service Authority.

In the state of Bihar for a period of not less than a month in order to:

1. Gain practical experience in the field of criminal litigation and allied branches , And
2. In order to better understand how work is carried out in Courts and Law chambers, And
3. Inter alia, develop a better Curriculum Vitae.

Since I have not applied in any particular law office till this date, I may not be able to provide
particulars but my application shall be in the same context in which this SOP is sought. For any
