    Classification of Angles:
    (i) Zero angle: An angle whose measure is 00.

    (ii) Acute angle: An angle whose measure is greater than 00but less than 900.
    (iii) Right angle: An angle whose measure is 900.

    (iv) Obtuse angle: An angle whose measure is greater than 900 but less than 1800.

    (v) Straight angle: An angle whose measure is 1800.

    (vi) Reflex angle: An angle whose measure is greater than 1800 but less than 3600.
    (vii) Complete angle: An angle whose measure is 3600.

    Classification of Triangles:

    On the basis of their sides-

    (i) Scalene triangle: A triangle in which all sides are of different length.

    (ii) Isosceles triangle: A triangle in which any two sides are of same length.
    AB = BC ≠ CA

    (iii) Equilateral triangle: A triangle in which all sides are of same length.

    On the basis of their angles-

    (i) Acute angle triangle: A triangle in which all angles are acute.
    (ii) Right angle triangle: A triangle in which measure of one angle is 900.

    (iii) Obtuse angle triangle: A triangle in which one angle is obtuse.

    Classification of Quadrilateral:

    (i) Parallelogram :A quadrilateral with each pair of opposite sides parallel.

    Properties-

    (1) Opposite sides and opposite anglesare equal.


    (2) Diagonals bisect one another.
    (ii)Rhombus-A parallelogram with all sides of equal length.
    Properties-
    (1) All the properties of a parallelogram.
    (2) Diagonals are perpendicular bisectors of one another.

    (iii) Rectangle-A parallelogram with a right angle.

    Properties-

    (1) All the properties of a parallelogram.


    (2)Each of the angles is a right angle.
    (3)Diagonals are equal.

    (iv) Square-A rectangle with sides of equal length.

    Properties-
    All the properties of a parallelogram, rhombus and rectangle.
