Scenario
The Lyco is a home ware & utensil manufacturing company, which they have two
factories and one warehouse. The company management has to restructure the IT
operations of the business due to lack IT automation process & many errors of manual
process.
Currently the existing stock control system is not centrally managed therefore Lyco
management has decided to implement an IT systems to accommodate central
management of data. The existing network setup must be restructured to provide
interconnection between warehouse and factories
Following some challenges are to be faced providing expected solution;
 Uninterrupted cost effective WAN solution need to be implemented within
two factories and warehouse.
 Centralized access and availability of data for all branches in secure manner is
essential.
 Implementation of Protocol DHCP, DNS, TFTP, FTP and WEB.

  Identify the TCP UDP protocol which will be utilized for above scenario.

Tasks
1. Critically evaluate range of suitable internet WAN technologies (IP VPN,
Dedicated Internet, DSL, etc…) and communication protocols for the above
scenario and justify your selection. (15 Marks)

2. Describe the TCP UDP protocols (OSI Model) functions and describe the
protocols which will be utilized for above scenario. (15 Marks)

3. Discuss the benefits of firewall security, explain different firewall types and
selection of firewall of the above network and suggest sustainable
recommendations. (20 Marks)
