tion system installation, service, maintenance and quality assurance. Ensure that the most
recent version of the service documentation is available.
To avoid any risk of injury to persons and/or damage to the system read and observe the
General Safety Notes (TD00-000.860.01.xx.02).
Please read and observe the “General remarks” which include very important
safety-related information as well as information about the handling of screws and nuts, use
of Loctite, and instructions for torque wrenches.

ferences.
Product-specific remarks 0
The MAMMOMAT Inspiration is adjusted, programmed and tested in the factory, leaving the
adaptation to the on-site mains voltage, adjustment of the AEC, and the functional tests to
be performed. When the measurements to be made (kV, mAs, etc.) are within the toler-
ances stated in these instructions, this confirms that the settings made in the factory have
not changed and the equipment is fully serviceable.
System condition
Systems are delivered ex factory with complete software.
Installation time
The complete software installation procedure of each component takes no more than 1
hour. The time to configure or restore configuration data, and save patient images, is not
included in the calculation.
Test images
Test images are automatically installed during software installation.
The “Service Patient” and corresponding images are shown only when the “Service menu”
is opened and the log-in has been performed.
Acceptance test
The acceptance test of the MAMMOMAT Inspiration is recommended to be performed
whenever a new MAMMOMAT Inspiration system has been installed and whenever
changes that might affect performance have been made to an existing system.
The acceptance test of MAMMOMAT Inspiration involves performing all QA procedures in
this Quality Control Manual, ensuring that a basic minimum image quality criteria is met
before the system is used with patients.
All yearly tests from the Quality Control Manual have to be performed.
Depending on the country where the system is installed, additional tests have to be per-
formed.
• Tests according to §16 of the X-ray Ordinance must be performed in Germany.
• Tests according to DHHS regulations must be performed in the USA.
Maintenance measurements must be made according to the Maintenance Instructions
(SPB7-330.831.01...) and the DHHS Supplements to the instructions for use
(SPB7-330.661.01...)
