Overview
“Education must continue even in times of crisis whether it may be a calamity,
disaster, emergency, quarantine, or even war.” (Leonor Magtolis Briones).
We acknowledge the reality of the situation wherein the delivery of the learning modality
this time of pandemic are not accessible to all teachers and learners. Many of our schools still do
not have connectivity and access to internet and even the learning modules to be utilized by
pupils which contains the learning task based on the Most Essential Learning Competencies
(MELC) designed for the new normal educational setting. But in extraordinary situation we find
ourselves in, we must walk before we run. We must start somewhere and work our ways
towards the ideal where all teachers and learners in the country can access the resources.
Those who do not have access to these requirements can opt for paper-based homework and
are not required to visit internet cafes for healthy security they have closed apparently in
quarantined areas.
Project AYUDA (Assisting Young Learners through Upgrade Distance Learning
Activities) is designed to provide alternative learning resource which is designed
developmentally appropriate for the capacity of young pupils. This material is provides
alternative learning activities that will help pupils master the desired competencies for the time
scheduled. The utilization of the Self-Learning Modules is quite tasking for elementary pupils
where they were used to learn with the guidance of teachers before and as a shift to the new
educational setting, they are times that they could not finish the modules on the desired time
allotted. And as an alternative material to be used which can be utilized by them in self-phase
basis and could be monitored religiously.
In order to provide quality and relevant education to all learners regardless of time and
place. No one will be left behind and nothing should be wasted. Let us make the learning
experience for all our learners be meaningful all of the time.

Innovation Description
Project AYUDA (Assisting Young Learners through Upgrade Distance Learning
Activities) is an innovation project that will be implemented to help improve the academic
performance of Grade 4 pupils. It highlights the use of technology in the teaching and learning
process of young learners through the utilization of digitized learning materials in teaching the
different competencies. It is an individualized instructional material to be used to teach my
pupils in the most preferred time and place in the new normal educational setting. It will help
increased the percentage of utilization and level of mastery of teaching.
Innovation Statement
General Objective:
Raise academic performance of 29 Grades 4 pupils in English by 3%.
Specific Objectives:
1. Improve reading skills and make the pupils proficient and independent readers in their
grade level.
2. Increase the level of proficiency of the pupils through the guided digitized materials.
3. Provide opportunities and activities for struggling learners to enhance their macro-skills.

Sustainability Plan
Project AYUDA will be prepared to follow a certain schedule cycle of administration.
After the formulation of observation checklist and interview guide questionnaire, the researcher
plans to accomplish the monitoring tool on the prescribed time schedule. When the said
material is properly administered it can be a way to provide intervention for every Grade I
pupils and by analysing and interpreting the data gathered. The result will serve as basis on
the effectiveness of the said innovation and then if it is approved to the School Head, it can be
utilized to the researcher’s school.
