EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Food is one of the fundamental necessities in life that is essential for

living (Richards, 2016). However, in the 21st century, food has become a
pleasure-stimulant for most people. Because of this, the food industry thrived
to satisfy the necessity of the market. Ranging from different beverages to
varieties of snacks and meals, the modern day expenditures have been
allocated to buying food. It is creative in both its technological innovation and
desire to satisfy the requirements of consumers, health professionals, and its
critics. It is striving to economically and efficiently produce high quality
products. Now, in modern day time, the food industry has flourished like never
before. There are always new dishes and colorful snacks, from exotic

differences of each food company in the world.
With the desire to serve pleasure and convenience, CHICK-A, a food

The business aims to introduce a new and different product in the

to eat and promos to indulge in. The company will mainly target students from
Iriga City as its main customers. As for the strategies that will be used for the
introduction of CHICK-A and its products to the public will be through social
media. Since the start of the pandemic, it is quite dangerous to publicly
advertise the business because of the chances of getting the virus from the
outside. So, it was concluded that the best way to spread the product to the
masses was through social media. This includes taking photos of said product
and posting them to popular apps that are being used by many such as
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
The Business has also taken into account the potential risks or
problems that may come in regards of opening the product and selling it, such
as the unsatisfactory of the customers upon tasting, the risk of low sales
because of competitors having similar concepts, the shortage of ingredients
needed to make the product resulting in a negative feedback to the service
that the business aims to provide and maybe considered unprofessional to
them and the lack of description of the product when posted in the media may
cause confusion on whether the product is safe to consume. But even with
these potential risks, the business will make the necessary adjustments so
that we can give the consumers great service.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Our Business
DINE N’ GO is a partnership owned by seven students from the
University of Saint Anthony. The partnership visualizes the students from the
Senior High School Department as its target market and aims to possibly
have a profitable and healthy relationship with its potential customers.
Although the company may be starting as a small service business, it
envisions itself to become a large-scale company that will offer a variety of
innovative products to give the people the satisfaction and thrill they are
looking for.

CRITICAL RISKS
As DINE N’ GO enter the food business, some risks may come in our way
such
as:
1. Lack of Start-Up Capital
The first barrier that hinders the owners is the start-up capital, which pertains
to the financial or monetary fund together with the equipment that will be used
for the operation of the business. As a food service entity, the business will
need a high start-up capital to buy or acquire the necessary ingredients and
equipment to formulate the product. The two serves as a vital factor in
establishing a business because such resources are the primary prerequisites
needed in every business operation. Moreover, the limited number of
equipment will have an observable effect on the production process of the
business, such that the business may or may not be able to supply the
demands of the market. Therefore, without the monetary funds and
equipment, the business may not bare success
or fruition.
2. Competitive Risk
Another barrier to entry would be competitors. The existence of competitors
tests the loyalty and judgment of customers, such that some people tend to
buy products from pre-existing businesses, since the entity is already well-
known and has established customer loyalty and brand identification. With
this, competitors will affect market share.

PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESCRIPTION

MAJOR STRENGTHS:
1. Affordable Products
- The price range of our products starts at Php 3.00 and ends at Php
10.00. However, in the promos, the highest price would be Php 28.00
2. Hearty Food
- We offer products that are enough for its price and will give satisfaction to
the mouth of the consumers.

MARKETING PLAN
Target Customers
The target customers for the business are the students of the Senior
High School Department of the University of Saint Anthony, however,
customers in all grade levels as well as other schools may purchase the
product as well as take part in some of the promos that the business may
develop or make in future plans for the business.

COMPETITIVE AND MARKET ANALYSIS

Comparing our products to the other existing products in the food
industry, our competitors’ strength may include:

1.
Convenience:

2.

Cookie Bomb, Hotdog Rings, Potato Explosives, and Jungle

Juice are presented in a product-friendly package design by
enwrapping it with paper bags. These paper bags make the handling of
the product easier for customers because it allows the hand to grip the
bag itself. Additionally, the product can be bought and eaten by the
buyer anywhere since the packaging makes the product more
convenient for customers. In connection with this, the company chose
to use paper bags because it absorbs oil, preserves heat, does not
attach to the dough, and it is more eco-friendly compared to plastic and
the likes.

1.

Money Friendly:

2.

Cookie Bomb, Hotdog Rings, Potato Explosives, and Jungle

Juice are produced so that it is not only convenient but also cheap in
price. But even with the prices being lowered, the product will be
ensured to give satisfaction to the taste buds of the customers; this is
also an advantage since customers don’t have to worry on whether or
not they can purchase the said product.

The competitors may also have weaknesses such as:

1.

Lack of Strategies:

2.

The business may go under or maybe unable to reach its goal if

the strategies used in selling products cannot provide the customers
the satisfaction that will make them or influence them to buy the
products or engage with the business. As well as, may result in losing
more customers and eventually might close the business. That is why
one must know fully well on how to encourage customers in buying
products and have excellent social skills.

1.

Higher Pricing:

2.
Competitors might sell their products at a higher price than ours
which makes it easier for us to gain customers to buy our products
because it is more affordable and at the same time it tastes great.

4Ps OF MARKETING (Marketing Mix)

PRODUCT
PRICE
PLACE
PROMOTION
Promotional tools are one of the significant methods in bridging the
product of the business to the market. This introduces the product, which
gives prior insight to the market to try and attract them into buying it.
Moreover, maximizing its utilization can help establish the feasibility of the
business, as it has the potential to entice a large portion of the market. With
this in mind, DINE N’ GO would make use of the traditional and modern way
of promotion. For instance, the posting of hard copied posters in different
locations of the university. Moreover, the target consumers of DINE N’ GO
mostly consists of students that belong to the millennial and post-millennial
generation that already have technology as part of their daily lives, especially
social-media. With this, the same posters would not only be disseminated
through hard copies but will also be uploaded through different social media
sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In this case, it would be
easier to reach the target market as technology connects people better
because most of them are active in media sites. Also, the entrepreneurs will
upload the posters using their own social media accounts like through
Facebook’s My Day and Instagram’s Story. With these methods, it is not only
efficient but also convenient for entrepreneurs to perform. Lastly, another
method will be the most traditional way, which is by-mouth that will be
performed on the days of the selling operation.
In a certain business, those mediums play a critical role. Customers or
consumers will have easier access to our products as a result of the usage of
those mediums; they will be able to quickly learn what products/foods we are
offering, what promotions we are running, and what they can expect from our
small business. The usage of ads in a particular business draws attention to it
which causes the increase of customers and sales.
