Traditional Learning Vs E-learning
Education is the most important thing in a person’s life. Most people
want to achieve education, but they don’t know whether traditional or e-
learning education best suits them. Nowadays students have the option
and opportunity to pick between traditional and e-learning education.
Traditional learning differs from e-learning (electronic learning) in; time
freedom, the place of learning and its learning effectiveness.
First of all, one of the apparent distinctions between the two is time
freedom. Traditional learning doesn’t allow the students to register or
participate at any time they desire, but it’s a fixed and scheduled time
which takes place at a certain time, and lessons are not already set. On
the other hand, e-learning allows the students to register and follow the
online classes at any time they want and desire, because the lessons are
readymade and uploaded for the students, then they are totally allowed
and authorized to listen and watch the lessons properly without being
forced to attend classes.
Second of all, the place of learning is another obvious distinction.
Traditional learning almost every time occurs face-to-face in a
classroom setting and it’s in front of the students. In contrast, e-learning
happens over the internet, the teacher records the lessons and uploads
them so as to be received by his students, so it’s a form of distance
learning, because it gives the students adequate access to the learning
content from any possible place they want.
Third of all, another vital distinction which differs both from one
another is their level of learning effectiveness. Traditional learning is
meant and regarded to be more effective and composed for the students,
because the process is live and both can exchange ideas in more
engaging ways and manners. In addition, traditional learning which
happens in the classroom, helps students and their teacher to know more
about each other as well, because the teacher can evaluate his students’
strengths and weaknesses more actively rather than e-learning. As
opposed to, e-learning is meant to be less effective than the traditional
one and it’s due to a penalty of fundamental reasons such as not being
able to focus properly, not being able to catch the lessons with the same
motivation and ambition as in classroom, and not being able to exchange
information or views amongst each other with their trainer frequently.
As a result, the traditional one is seen as a better strategy and form of
learning.
To conclude, gaining and obtaining education is done by so many
helpful and productive techniques, but majority of people go for either
traditional learning or E-learning. There are a lot of differences which
can be found between the two. To illustrate, the location of learning,
their level of compactness and effectiveness to the students, freedom of
time and costs of learning. I strongly suggest that, students had better
rely on traditional learning as it helps them more than the e-learning
does. It urges them also to work harder and contribute more to be
successful.
