ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: A Better Alternative for the Youth of Barangay Maligalig

Conflict Identification
Brgy. Maligalig facing problem of youth’s welfare. Teenagers are exposed to such unlawful
activities such as consume of illegal solvent and drugs, alcoholic beverages, and smoking that are
illegal to minors underage. These are concerns of the sellers in the market where they have
witnessed the rampant unlawful act of the teenagers. The teenagers are recruiting others
forcedly. Those who refused to join them were ended up beaten. They are using cheap illegal
solvent for easy access but eventually threat to their health that will lead to life threat such as
kidney failure, coma, etc. The community raise their concern since these have been exercised for
a long period of time.

Plan of Action
Youngsters are the main target of the solution to eliminate unlawful act that are rampant to the
community. Recreational activity for me is the best way to solve their concern. Youngster must
be persuaded to actively participate to activities toward the better welfare for them. These will
allow them to be befriended with others, understand the essence of life and will mold them to
leadership and have care for others.

Reflection
In the Philippines, malnourishment among children is a major public health problem. Long-term
malnutrition imprisons families in a cycle of health issues and poverty by permanently impairing a
child's physical and intellectual development. The government should address and actively
investigate both short-term and long-term solutions to the malnutrition issue of the children. We
must acknowledge that youth are the future of this nation and that, in order to truly be a source
of hope and a torch for a better tomorrow, these must begin to be exercised and address this
concern at utmost caution by all means right away.
