NURMINAH: Good morning ma'am and classmates. Our group is Tagalog.

A brief information about Tagalog language is that it is an Austronesian language

spoken by the Tagalog ethnic groups way before time and it is their supposed 1st language.
The Tagalog ethnic group now makes up a quarter of the population of the Philippines. Its
standard form is officially named as "Filipino" . It is considered as the national language of
the Philippines and is one of the two official languages alongside English.

SHALYRA: You might wonder why Tagalog is our L1? When asked, most of our members
answered that they, including me, migrated and grew up in an urban area and the language
that was introduced to us is Tagalog. So unlike the other groups the words we have are
familiar to you. However, we have someone who grew up from Nueva Ecija which is part of
the Katagalugan provinces and will share some Tagalog words of Nueva Ecija.
