due to early pregnancy.
IV. Background Information
A. The Client
Client Honey Mae is the eldest Daughter of Mr. & Mrs Cayon of Sitio
Lote, Cebuano, Tupi, South Cotabato. Honey Mae is a loving sister from
her siblings and she is an honor student before at Cebuano National High
School of Tupi, South Cotabato and also one of the active students in the
class she also became a representative in their school activities. Honey
Mae is living with her parents but every weekend she sleeps over at her
aunt’s neighbor. Accordingly, her boyfriend gives so much support from her
schooling but they never expect that she will get pregnant. She has to stop
schooling since she can’t manage both. Honey Mae is willing to continue
and finish her study even though she became a mom now. The husband of
Honey Mae also willing to do so much effort for her to finish her study so
that she is able to get a job for the better future of their child.
B. The Family
The Father of the client work as “Farmer” They send Honey Mae to
Cebuano National High School and let her live with her auntie because
they believe that she has so much potential and they believe that she can
finish her study.
C. Environment/Community
The family resides at Sitio Lote, Cebuano, Tupi South Cotabato. They
are living with a very simple life their house was located on a spacious
area where different crops are planted owned by different people. They
were surrounded by their same beliefs and culture people where the status
of living was entirely the same as to them. The house was made with the
light materials with two naïve rooms, innocent dirty kitchen and half small
living room but despite of being many, the family has always been
comfortable on their state.
V. Case Assessment
The family had been through a lot of sacrifices to survive from every day’s
inevitable life situation. The family’s income couldn’t suffice the needs of the
family and couldn’t even answer the educational needs of the children. Honey
Mae shows a lot of interest to be back in school and finish her study. Despite of
the disappointments of her parents, she believes that she can still finish her
study. The parents of Honey Mae and her daughter becomes her inspiration to
achieve her dreams in life.
