Name: Pineda, Joshua Emmanuel M.
Section: NUR01D
Date: August 26, 2022 (Saturday)

1. Define self-awareness.

As a person who analyzes his actions, thoughts, and decisions thoroughly. Self-awareness for me is
being wary of everything that happens to you and the people around you. It means that you are capable
of understanding what might be running to you or another person’s mind. Self-awareness can also be
defined as a state of awareness where you can focus on yourself. Just like what I do, I analyze my
mistakes or good things I did, then after analyzing myself that is where I try to figure out what to change
on myself to be better for myself and for other people.

2. Tell me about yourself

I’d like to introduce myself, Joshua Emmanuel M. Pineda. A seventeen-year-old hopeless romantic
from Floridablanca, Pampanga. I studied at St. Augustine Academy of Pampanga, a consistent honor
student and a STEM Graduate in Senior High School. I have many hobbies and interests so I often call
myself a jack of all trades. I can dance, draw, write poems, create films and many more. Although I don’t
excel much in these things, I know that I am doing well in them. A jack of all trades is a master of none,
but oftentimes better than a master of one. I have a strong affinity for multimedia arts, and I can proudly
say that it is my passion. People ask me sometimes why did I not pursue it. The reason is that, I find joy
and love in that kind of thing and work which makes it my passion, but I don’t want to make a career out
of it because I don’t want to grow tired or exhausted from the things I love. I also know that working on
the medical field will bring me another sense of joy, because it is my calling and I have responded to that
call.

3. Give at least 5 characteristics of Filipinos and briefly explain.

Filipinos are undeniably famous all around the globe. Our resilience is one thing that is very noticeable.
No matter what may come our way Filipinos will always stand tall despite of the damages and all.
However, this Filipino resilience is always romanticized in the media and in the eyes of many people.
Why should we always strive to survive when we should have been living under easier circumstances,
but we are led by hard headed leaders. We also have an exceptional humor, to the point that we can
smile and laugh despite of the disasters that occurred to us. We are also known for being caring people,
that’s why we provide the best nurses and caregivers to the world. Filipinos are versatile, we tend to
learn new things quickly and tries to adapt to it as soon as possible. That’s why there are Filipinos who
often have many talents in things that are not even related to one another. Generosity and hospitality
are the greatest feats of a Filipino. We tend to go out of our way to give the warmest welcomes to our
guest and help those in need even when we barely have something. We try to give something to
someone in the best way that we can.

4. 10 Ways on how can you help yourself to be successful?

First is to graduate and get my license for my chosen career. Next is to maintain good work-life balance
to avoid too much exhaustion. Have good health and physical fitness. Always be persistent to your goals,
and face every adversary. Be passionate in what you do. Find joy in your career. Be confident to yourself
and your capabilities that you will become successful. Have a positive attitude towards life, and never
let one failure describe your whole journey to success. Never forget to look back to where you came
from. Always remember your purpose that you are serving to God, and to your neighbors.
