PART A
(Answer one question, each question carries 25 marks)
1. Draw a cross-section and plan of a RCC dog legged stair for a public building. Floor to floor
height is 360 cm. Width of stair 1.2 m. Rise and tread are 15 cm and 30 cm. Provide a pipe 60
cm diameter for a handrail at a height of 80 cm from the level of the steps. Balusters are of 25
mm square blocks. Assume all other data as necessary
Or
2. The front door of a house is 100 cm x 200 cm with a double leaf (10DS20) and panelled door.
Adopting a suitable panelling system, draw the front elevation and vertical cross-section. Frame
size 9 cm x 7 cm. Lock rail and bottom rail 15 cm x 3.5 cm. Styles and top rails 10 cm x 3.5
cm. Assume all other data as necessary.
