Offboarding Devices - JAMF
It is mandatory to fully wipe the device before ending its life cycle and releasing the
device from the Organization's management system . Please be aware that the device
needs to be taken out from both JAMF and Apple Business Manager (ABM) portals
P.S. The device must be released from the ABM portal in buyout scenarios. If this step is
not performed, the device will still be provisioned for the Zero touch deployment although it
has been completed wiped
Procedures
The following steps must be carried out in order to successfully delete the device from
our management systems
1. Release the device from Apple Business Manager (ABM) portal
2. Wipe the device from JAMF portal
3. Remove the device from JAMF portal
