    Intellectualis E-Newsletter Contributor Guidelines

    I. AIM AND SCOPE OF THE E-NEWSLETTER

    Intellectualis, published monthly, is a forum to stimulate discussion of intellectual property


    law with emphasis on contemporary practice and precedents. Intellectualis is an initiative of
    the Intellectual Property Rights Committee (IPRC) under the banner of School of Law,
    CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

    The Intellectual Property Rights Committee indulges in activities that provide students the
    opportunity to create an impact through their contributions. Through Intellectualis, the
    Committee seeks to create a bridge between industry practice and education to simulate a
    conducive environment where students can explore and learn more about Intellectual Property.
    To further this goal, Intellectualis lays special emphasis on content that displays quality
    research coupled with conciseness and practical relevance.

    II. GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

    1. Articles

    Contributions should be not more than 2000 words. The first paragraph of your article should
    provide the legal context and practical relevance of the article.

    2. Case Analysis

    Every case analysis must include the following in the particular order:

    • Case Name with Citation


    • Facts
    • Main Arguments of the Parties/Point of Law
    • How Case has Contributed to Current Developments/Legal Discourse

    The contributions should not be more than 500-800 words. Please note that cases must be
    relevant in time.
    Other Works

    The following pieces are accepted to facilitate the understanding of complex legal problems:

    • Comic strips – Not more than 4-6 comic strips boxes


    • Puzzle works
    • Artwork and related content- Acceptance of the same is subject to approval
    from the University Publication Office.

    III. REFERENCING AND FORMATTING

     Intellectualis follows Bluebook 20th Edition referencing style using References at the
    end of the article. No footnotes/endnotes allowed.

     Kindly follow Times New Roman style font, font size 12 and 1.5 line spacing.

    IV. MODE OF SUBMISSION

     Kindly e-mail your submission along with Author(s) name(s) and University details to
    [email protected]. A receipt of the same will be confirmed within 2-3 working
    days.

    V. KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR AUTHORS


     The sole aim of Intellectualis is to provide a platform for educational purposes. Every
    submission is subject to approval of the University’s publication office. Please do not
    use unusual words.
     Kindly note that your contribution should provide the reader all that is required for
    him/her to understand what you are trying to convey.
     You are required to strictly abide by the word limit provided.
     Kindly note that we are looking for premium conciseness of a well-founded
    understanding of the legal issue at hand.

    VI. COPYRIGHT

     All contributions will be reviewed by student editors subject to the decision of the
    supervising faculty members and approval thereof by University’s publication office.

     Contributors may be asked to revise the contribution before final acceptance or


    publication.
     Copyright to the contribution rests with CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
     It is pertinent for authors to note that if there is a subsequent publication of accepted
    work, the author will have to provide prior notice of the name at
    [email protected]
