Ordering Example
To order a replacement piston for an MCR10 radial piston motor having the above nameplate, the
following information would be required.
4
RA 15207-R/08.94
Radial Piston Motor MCR10, Series 30
The following instructions are intended to lend assistance for inspection and repair of MCR units.
These units are manufactured with great care and with adherence to defined tolerances to the high-
est manufacturing accuracy, and therefore the following points must be given particular attention.
The work should be performed only by qualified service personnel.
2. For ordering of spare parts, make note of all numbers and codes on the name plate.
7. The appearance of the parts removed often gives an indication of the system condition. For example; scored
sliding surfaces and heavy abrasion may indicate a contaminated system. Discoloration of components is a
sign of improper fluid viscosity.

7. When carrying out disassembly and assembly instructions refer to appropriate drawings.

2. If motor has wheel studs, place suitable sized ring under the shaft (1) so that force is applied to shaft rather
than the studs. Reference page 7.
3. Press front bearing inner race (13) onto shaft (1) using press and assembly tool # C6110.
5. Fit O-Ring (8) and shaft seal (17) onto seal ring (4).

O-Rings. Wipe dry with a “lint free” rag.
12. Press 1 seal half (16) onto shaft (1) and other seal half (16) into front housing (2) using assembly tool # C6658.
13. Apply a thin film of clean oil to mating surfaces of the seals. Oil must not contact any other surface.
14. Fit front housing assembly onto shaft assembly, making sure that both halves of face seal (16) mate properly.
16. Press rear bearing (14) onto shaft (1) using press and assembly tool # C6113. Using tool # C6119 and press,
load bearing with 4400 lbs of force.
17. With force still applied, fit split ring (10) onto shaft (1). Using feeler gauges, determine “X” dimension.
Reference page 7.
18. Remove split ring (10), and fit required washer (3). Washer should be .002”–.004” greater than “X” dimen-
sion. Replace split ring (10).
20. Add 120 cc of ISO 46 petroleum based hydraulic oil into shaft flange port, filling the front bearing cavity
enclosed by face seal (16) .
21. Apply Loctite 569 to plug (7). Install plug (7) just below flush on shaft surface.
