Values and beliefs reflects a person’s personality. Situations with different perspectives from
different people somehow lead us to confusion. Are we going to stand with what we think or
believe is right? Or are we going to listen and adapt what others believe in, considering their
own point of view?
This product was newly released this year and because of the claims in this product that
everyone’s raving about. The claims is that it can be a good alternative for foundation since it
has buildable coverage and it can be good to the skin since it has an SPF. A lot of influencers is
using this product since it has a lot of benefits good for the skin thus other people wanted to try
it out since every famous personalities have been using this product.
In our generation, we all do know that most of us spend more time on social media thus. The
influence and knowledge it gives affects our daily lives which drives us to reconsider about an
idea that’s way much better than what we believe in. We somehow depend on social media to
learn something new. Something new to do, new things to buy, and new ways to do things to
make it easier. Many people would use a certain product with specific claims. However, as time
goes by, because of the knowledge we encounter and absorb, we became more meticulous and
would somehow change our product preferences. One day we’re all using a foundation, the
next day we’re not right after watching a certain vlogger who uses a different product from
yours but have the same skin type with yours. The product usage will depend on consumer’s
“category of choice”. Some product users depends on their favorite vlogger’s choice. Some
depends on ingredient and product specification, and some depends on the word of mouth.
Day by day, these consumers encounter different situations. Some who depends on product
specifications watches vlogs that will influence them to use an “effective per sei product”. Some
might bump into an old friend and discuss about this new product she’s using and explains how
good it is. If you noticed the obvious, it simply says that every time we learn new things, we
intend to consider it and apply it to ourselves. Just the same as how knowledge affects one’s
beliefs and values. We learn new things and discover new things that might be a big factor in
bending or breaking the norm that we lived for a very long time.
Newspaper serves a lot of new knowledge for us to know. Especially right now that the 2022
election is heading near and different aspects like family background, political background and
educational background are being investigated and looked into. Some are facts, some are fake
news. The Filipinos are divided in terms of the knowledge they discover about the running
candidates. The opposing becomes concurring and vice versa. Knowledge somehow breaks the
values and beliefs of an individual because they discover something new to their ears, eyes and
minds. It is commonly understood that people who are more knowledgeable in political realm
and feel more politically effective in influencing people to politics are politically active. They
stand by beliefs and values they live by. However, even the sturdiest supporter of a party learns
something new from the newspapers. Hence, confusion takes place. They start to weigh their
stands and reconsider the facts or knowledge they believe in. Some tends to keep steady but
some opposes what they used to side with. It is because of the power of knowledge where the
facts and fakes lie but because of the curiosity and confusion, an individual digs deep into it and
might sooner or later change their current beliefs. Furthermore, there is still a need to
understand how political knowledge might be relevant to increasing political cooperation. Some
studies suggests that subjective feelings of political potency might be more relevant than
factual knowledge. Mental factors and mediums in information gathering will always be a big
impact in this issue. In regards to politics, an individual’s thirst for factual information rages.
This is where they start to dig into the depths of a politician’s ability or expected effectiveness
when running a local or national seats. This is also where they may be disappointed, delighted,
and changes where they stand.
In conclusion, the current analysis provides indication that knowledge plays a big part in
affecting an individual’s established values or beliefs due to factual checking about a certain
issue or subject that drives a person to verify the information given by an opposing party
and/or organization to reconsider the current stand he or she is in.
