I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the learners should be able to:

b. Describe Jean Piaget’s Cognitive Development theory
c. Identify the four stages of Piaget’s Cognitive Development Theory
d. Identify the elements of Jean Piaget’s Theory of Development

C. Materials:  
 Visual Aids - made up basically of cartolina, pentel pen and other art materials
which contain the key concepts of the lesson content 
 Pictures/ Drawings/ Real Objects - to illustrate the features of each cognitive
stages, examples would be presented with this aids so as to stimulate students.
 Video Presentation – a video clip with a message emphasizing the affective
domain of the lesson. This will show pictures of babies, children adolescent,
adults. Those who are in cognitive stages.
III. Teaching Procedures

2. Introduction

 The teacher asked few questions to learners about their past lesson.
 The learners will give examples about how adolescence experience socio –
emotional development.
 The learners will compare and contrast the socio – emotional development of
infants to adolescence.

3. Motivation

The teacher will group the learners into four (4) groups representing each stage in
Jean Piaget’s cognitive Development Theory. Each group will be given a task toa act or
perform a scenario (stage play) about this assigned work form the four (4) stages of
Cognitive Development theory.
