IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing or Activity: Plotting the points on the graph
presenting the new Note to the Teacher:
lesson Divide the class into groups of five.
Distribute geoboard and rubber bands to the group
Let them create a cartesian plane on the geoboard
Flash the points and let them plot it on the cartesian
plane and put markers using round colored papers
Process all groups’ answers.
Solution:
Find first two points by assigning two values of x to
solve the values of y. For example, x = 1 and x = 2. So,
when x = 1 when x = 2
2 ( 1) – y = 5 2(2)–y = 5
2 -y=5 4 - y = 5
-y=5–2 -y = 5-4
-1 ( -y ) = ( 3 ) -1 -1 (- y ) = ( 1 ) -1
y= -3 y = -1
So the points are ( 1, - 3) and ( 2, -1 ) and the graph
is shown below:
D. Discussing new In graphing linear equations given two points, locate the
concepts and two points in the quadrant where they are located then
practicing new skills connect the two points. The line obtained is the graph of
#1 the linear equations.
E. Discussing new
concepts and In graphing the linear equation given the equation,
practicing new skills identify two points then plot the points on the
#2 cartesian plane then connect the points to form the
line
