INTRODUCTION
THE STEM SCHOOL is based on the idea of educating
students in four specific disciplines--Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics--in an integrated,
interdisciplinary approach to learning that provides
hands-on and relevant learning experiences for students.
What makes STEM truly special is the fact that it does not
propagate the study of the four disciplines in isolation,
but it’s all about understanding the correlation between
various disciplines and focusing on their practical
application. A person who is well versed in STEM
stands a better chance of getting a job in industries like
engineering, automation, programming, software etc.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our vision and mission provide us with our overall
direction. They are fundamental in everything we
do: from how we teach, to how we learn, to how we
develop teaching and learning in the classroom.
The mission of THE STEM Schools is to provide
a safe and healthy learning environment
where our students and faculty feel welcomed,
appreciated, respected and trusted. We hope
to promote academic excellence by providing a
rich and progressive technological environment
to explore new horizons beyond the traditional
modes of schooling. Technology will enable
students to be active participants in their own
learning, and will help develop a strong sense of
responsibility towards themselves, each other and
the community.
For THE STEM Schools, the answer was “we must” no matter how
hard it is. We believe it is our duty and our calling to make sure we
leave the next generation better off than the previous one.
To tackle engineering e.g. students may read about a native Iranian girl, Fatima,
who is snapping pictures near her tribal home when she discovers oil on
the surface of a close by river. Fatima explores the extent of damage to the
ecosystem on which her community depends, seeing the far reaching social
and environmental effects of water pollution. These small activities have a far
reaching impact where students develop critical thinking skills.
FRANCHISEE SUPPORT
The education sector is growing exponentially with schools opening up every
year to meet the demand. But while this makes it worthwhile to start an
education franchise, without the right tools and guidance, it will be difficult to
succeed - let alone survive.
TSS is very aware of this fact and will be with you at every step.
The majority of schools fail within the first year because the teething problems
faced by the teaching and administration staff leave a bad impression on the
parents, students and teachers alike. This not only impacts new admissions, but
also accelerates withdrawals.
Having us by your side means that your school will skip this phase and transition
into a smooth, fully functionally learning centre.
Academic Manual
The Academic manual will detail the guidelines that will define the school and
classroom management practices. It will contain:
Operational Support
Good schools become great only when behind the curtain things are consistently
efficient. Smooth operations that support the academic process can make the crucial
difference to a new school’s success. Our tried and tested processes will show how to
run things on a daily basis. TSS will provide the following manuals to provide support:
Operating Manual
- Student onboarding procedure
- School documentation and record keeping procedure
- Meeting student needs
- Class periods and teaching obligations
- Faculty and staff meeting schedules
- Legal obligations of the school
- Effective teaching practices
Accounting Manual
Relevant guidelines and policies for maintaining all school related accounts:
Marketing Support
Your message is our message and we will provide you the design and content of
all relevant marketing material to help get it across. Materials include:
• School prospectus
• Brochures
• Leaflets
Quality Assurance
We have a regular system of inspection and evaluation that ensures the operating
requirements are adequately implemented for effective school operations and
academic results. Special emphasis is laid on standardized school management
and academic processes.
Moreover, the candidate will be able to learn more about the support offered
by TSS.
If the meeting proves to be mutually satisfying to both sides then a MOU will be
signed within the next 14 days. Further discussions and information sharing will
only be possible once the MOU has been signed along with 50% payment of the
franchise fee.
On signing of the MOU, the Franchise Development Team will finalize the
territory of the business. You will receive support in terms of finalization of the
location, size of facility and timelines for launch.
CONTRACT
The final step is to schedule a face-to-face business meeting where candidates
will be introduced to the financial model in more detail, including information
on marketing fee, as well as returns of investments. We understand that every
person is different, so for this reason we are trying to create a franchise solution
that will meet the needs and expectations of our franchisees.
The signing of the contract will be post site inspection and finalization of all
operational details, which will also be mentioned in the contract.
Within 90 days of the signing of the MOU, the final contract will be drafted and
signed. At this point the remaining 50% of the payment will be made.
FRANCHISEE FEE
There are two types of franchise based models offered to the potential TSS
associates. Each model is comprised of 10 years of agreement period.
