I. CONTEXT AND RATIONALE

Overview:

The use of technology resources has been attracting and give a great

interest to learners, most of our learners today have there own gadgets that

they use for online games and social media account, ICT is considered as one

of the main elements in country development and by integrating ICT in different

teaching strategies would be more interesting to our learner and when the

learners are interested they learn more and this study aim measure effectiveness

of ICT integration to support teaching and learning process in classroom especially

in grade 5 students of Mabuhay Elementary School, School Year 2022-2023

 Based on the research of Ghavifekr, Simin; Rosdy, Wan Athirah Wan International

Journal of Research in Education and Science, v1 n2 p175-191 Sum 2015 titled

“Teaching and Learning with Technology: Effectiveness of ICT Integration in

Schools” The results indicate that ICT integration has a great effectiveness for both

teachers and the students. Findings indicate that teachers' well-equipped preparation

with ICT tools and facilities is one the main factors in success of technology-based

teaching and learning. It was also found that professional development training

programs for teachers also played a key role in enhancing students' quality learning.

“Teachers' Preparedness and Acceptance of Information and Communications Technology

(ICT) Integration and Its Effect on Their ICT Integration Practices” by Hero, Jesson L.

Results revealed that teacher's possessed preparedness on ICT integration.

Moreover, they accept the tenets and principles of ICT integration in teaching.

Further, teachers are well-versed or highly practiced ICT integration in teaching.

Results of the correlation substantiated that teacher's preparedness and acceptance

in ICT integration correlated significantly with their ICT integration practices. It is

recommended that more training and professional development programs should

provide by the school for their teachers more prepared and equipped on the ICT

integration in education and further unfold their ICT integration practices in teaching.

II. ACTION RESEARCH QUESTIONS

This action research aimed to determine the effect of Integrating ICT-based

teaching strategies in improving the learning outcome of grade 5 learners of Mabuhay

Elementary School, Mabuhay Siruma Camarines Sur for the school year 2022-2023.

Specifically, it will seek to answer the following questions:

EXPECTED OUTPUTS:

1. Twenty (20) among the fifty (50) ALS Implementers should have a rating of

4.9 to 5.00 in 2022.

2. Fifty (50) among the 105 ALS Implementers should have an action research

implemented.

3. Devise ten (10) learning activity sheets as contextualized materials in

Learning Strand 1 to 6.

III. PROPOSED INNOVATION, INTERVENTION, AND STRATEGY

This research Project CELL has six varied strategies/activities implemented to

determine the capability assessment and innovations on the performances of ALS

Implementers. The proponent uses the different approaches which are vital for uplifting

the result of the performance of ALS Implementers such as the District ALS Coordinators

and Mobile Teachers in every district in the Division of Camarines Sur for school year

2020-2021.

IV. ACTION RESEARCH METHODS

This action research will employ descriptive method of research in

discussing the answers of the three research questions posted.

The participants of the study are the total enumeration of Bantugan

National High School students which have the lowest mean rating for the first quarter

which will also serve as the pilot section for the study and the English Department

composed of 11 teachers and 1 head teacher.

VII. PLANS FOR DISSEMINATION AND UTILIZATION

Research Dissemination Plan – The proponent will present the result of this

action research to school head and to stakeholders during conferences, meetings and

assemblies upon completion of this task.

Data Utilization Plan – data from this initiative will be used in crafting project

proposal which will form part of the 2022 Annual Implementation Plan, School

Improvement Plan and school policy formulation.
