INTRODUCTION
The Company
The Product
The Citec CNR Series is the latest Air Conditioning units from Citec International
that are designed to place within a row of IT equipment racks. The units are
engineered to run seamlessly in critical environments by delivering constant, efficient
and intelligent cooling circulation consistently and reliably for 24 hours per day, 7
days per week.
The Citec CNR is to be installed in hot/cold aisle configuration where the unit will
take in the hot air from the hot aisle and the air is cooled, filtered then discharge to the
cold aisle. The nature of its air flow configuration had made it easy and simple to be
installed in containment system.
The Citec CNR is designed and assembled with the goal of achieving maximum
energy efficiency. Only high quality and high efficiency components are selected to
ensure great reliability and energy efficiency. With the latest DC Inverter Scroll
compressor coupled with Electronic Expansion Valve, EC Fans and highly intelligent
Genius 5+ Controller. The CNR can regulate the unit capacity from as low as 20% up
to 100%.
The Citec CNR only require front and rear service access and piping and electrical
entry can be made through top or bottom of the unit.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
The Citec CNR units can regulate the capacity base on the actual cooling demand.
This has greatly reduced the unit energy consumption and thus increased the
efficiency especially during part load. The capacity can be regulated from as low as
20% up to 100%. Such wide capacity control range enables maximum energy saving
potential and reducing the unit operating cost.
For DX system, the synergized operation between the variable speed compressor, EC
fan and EEV, the intelligent Genius 5+ controller can adequately control the cooling
coil temperature to enable more precise control of supply air temperature and
humidity with minimal energy consumption.
For chilled water system, modulating ball valve with equal percentage characteristic is
used to ensure excellent control of water flow through the cooling coil. The flow
characterised disc inside the valve has greatly enhance the control stability especially
under low load condition, therefore enable precise temperature control over wide
range of operating condition.
The innovative Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) provides highly efficient control of
refrigerant flow base on real-time feedback. Unlike the conventional Thermostatic
Expansion Valve, the EEV can provide fast, stable and precise control even under low
load condition. The wide operating range of EEV allows the unit operate at lower
condensing pressure and thus increase the efficiency of the unit. The presence of the
temperature & pressure probe allows real time monitoring of suction temperature and
pressure as well as the superheat of the system. Problem such as refrigerant leakage
can be easily detected by checking the superheat & suction pressure from display.

Electrical and Control Panel
High and low voltage cables are segregated and each component is protected by
individual MCB. Sliding electrical panel mechanism has made servicing work easy
and simple. All cabling are colour coded and numbered for easy reference.
Genius 5+ Controller
The latest Citec Genius 5+ controller provides intelligent and advance control for
precision cooling application. The Citec CNR is fitted with Genius 5+ controller,
offered highest flexibility and capability in mission critical cooling control, remote
monitoring and system integration. The Genius 5+ controller supports wide range of
cooling control strategies for mission critical facilities including supply air control
and containment system. Energy saving features such as EC fan control, variable
speed condenser fan, variable speed compressor and EEV optimization and intelligent
humidity control are built-in to the standard control program.
