1 Introduction
1.1 Aim of the Course
The aim of the course is to enable site system administrators to install, maintain, troubleshoot and
recover an ACCS/ICC Interface (usually mentioned as Xomail Gateway), composed with 2 Windows
2008R2 Servers hosting respectively XOMAIL THALES Norway Software and Exchange Server 2007.
1.2 Summary of Training Requirements
The course is a hands‐on course, provided to each student on a standalone platform (or if you prefer:
on a standalone platform per student). Experience with Windows 2008 Server and Exchange Server
is required. Each standalone platform will simulate one different ACCS site setup.
1.3 Eligibility
All ACCS sites system administrators complying with the above named requirements.
1.4 Duration
The course duration is 5 days.
a. Training Day : 09:00 ‐ 16:00
b. Breaks: Coffee 10:00 ‐ 10:20 and 15:00 ‐ 15:20
Lunch: 12:30 ‐ 13:30
1.5 Security Classification
The course is delivered within a NATO Secret environment; therefore, the students must provide a
copy of their Security Clearance before entering the NCIA Glons premises. Without a Security
Clearance the students will not be able to attend the course.

1.6 Sponsor
The overall sponsor of the ACCS‐ICC Course is the head of the AirC2 Training Group.
1.7 Training Executive
The person with overall responsibility for the training at NCIA Glons is the Chief Individual Training.
This responsibility can be delegated when required.
1.8 Class Size
The maximum numbers of students is set to 14 due to workstation and instructor availability. Seats
for observers, with no workstation, are available.
NCI Agency reserves the right to cancel any course if the number of students is less than 4.

1.9 Review Date
To ensure that the course is effective and current the AirC2 Training Group aim to do a full review
of course material annually. Parts of the course can be updated before this time if needed.
1.10 Additional Information
1.10.1 Location and Timings
This course is given at NCIA Glons. On site delivery can be negotiated.
All the classes will start at 09:00 till 16:00.

5 Assessment
5 Prerequisites
The students are only eligible for this course if complying with following requirements:
a. Experienced on system administration
b. Experienced on network administration
c. Experienced on configuration of Windows 2008 Server
d. Experienced on configuration of Exchange 2007 Server
e. Mozilla Thunderbird
f. Wireshark network analyser
g. The students should have background in AIRC2 systems
In the joining notice, their supervisor must confirm these prerequisites otherwise the applicant will
not be accepted for the course. If this prerequisite cannot be met, H‐TRB cannot allow the applicant
to participate in the course
5.1 Learning Assessment
This is based on learning by doing. Assessment of whether the student has reached the training
objectives is performed in an active dialog between student and instructor, mainly during the
practical exercises and labs, and by the student performing a multiple choice test.
6 Administration
6.1 Dress Code
Dress code is duty uniform in accordance with national rules for military personnel. For civilians
smart casual style clothing can be worn. (No sportswear).
6.2 Security Clearance
All students must provide valid Security Clearance.
6.3 Accommodation
Students must arrange their own accommodation.
6.4 Transportation
Students must arrange their own transportation. There are no resources available at the NCIA Glons
to perform airport pickups etc.
6.5 Food and Drink
The cafeteria at NCIA Glons will be open for all students during their stay at NCIA Glons. They serve
coffee, cakes or a hot meal during the lunch break. No breakfast or dinner is served at the cafeteria.
6.6 TAX Free Shopping
Students can use the NCIA Glons Ration Item Store during their visit providing that they provide a
valid NATO Travel Order and they are at NCIA Glons for a minimum of 8 working days.
