PERFORMANCE TASK #1: THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND

General Instructions:
1. Based on your research for 02 Activity 1, pick a business icon or an entrepreneur that relates most to
your personality.
2. List at least five (5) short-term and five (5) long-term entrepreneurial goals you wish to achieve

Business Icon
Describe how s/he relates to your interests, goals, aspirations, etc.

Joel Magsaysay

Jose Magsaysay is best known for being Mr. Potato Corner. Before he became
a successful entrepreneur, he became a part time working student first. His
personality relates to my personality. When I was in senior high school I also
want to be a working student so that I can save money that I can use when I go
to college, although I am aware of how difficult it is to be a working student I
still want to try. I tried to apply to the BPO industry but my interview didn't go
through because my mom didn't agree with my decision because she knew it
would be difficult for me. Just like Joel Magsaysay, I also want to have my own
business when the time comes and when I become successful.

Entrepreneurial Goals

Five (5) Short-Term Goals:

1. Developing a morning routine - An organized morning routine will help you to get disciplined in
how to align your work schedule with the day you face ahead. Getting up early; morning exercise, healthy
breakfast can improve your habits to build your morning routine.
2. Explore something new every day - Unleash your inner capabilities by trying out something
new every day. Learn a new skill; learn about new terms and words and try to use them in your daily
conversation. When you adapt to this habit, you will tune your brain to learn new information quickly and
with ease
3. Improve my communication skills – Good communication skills are essential to allow others
and yourself to understand information more accurately and quickly.
4. Double my productivity level - If you want to excel in your career, achieve your professional
goal, and get things done on time, then you should double your productivity. You cannot manage all your
work by creating a to-do list on a piece of paper, or remembering your schedule by yourself.
5. Keep a Daily Journal – It can play a vital role in formulating and organizing those scattered
thoughts in my mind into potentially successful ideas.
Five (5) Long-Term Goals:
1. Increase Sales - Good sales help you to get qualified leads and customers who bring value to
you as well. If the company is getting good sales then the employees of the company would be happy too.
And indeed it will make your employees work better and perform their duties in a more proper and
organized way.
2. Acquire a competitor - Knowing who your competitors are, and what they are offering, can help
you to make your products, services and marketing stand out.
3. Open a new location - To expand across the state or even to spread your business across the
country.
4. Expand into New Opportunities - Entrepreneurs may start a business with the plan to grow and
expand the business into new opportunities or business industries. This long-term goal allows
entrepreneurs to focus on making their business the biggest and best in its industry.
5. Go Public -  This long-term goal may take several years to complete. Small businesses must usually
have a strong history of financial performance in specific business operations and ensure future investors
about the company’s long-term viability in the business environment. Entrepreneurs may also need to
recruit other individuals to work in the business who have extensive experience or expertise in the
business industry.
