PROGRAM PROFILE
You will need to complete the following components to describe the program you would like to be recognized.
Rationale One of the provisions of R.A No. 10533 otherwise known as The Basic Education Act of 2013 is to
ensure that the enhanced basic education program meets the demand for quality teachers and school
leaders, thus the DepEd in collaboration with the academe and other institutions shall conduct an In-Service
Training (INSET) on Content and Pedagogy.
INSET has been considered crucial to the maintaining and sustaining the capacity of the teachers to
INSET also provides variety of activities and practices that meet the needs of the teachers based on
the result of their Self-Assessment. It helps teachers in improving their teaching methods, classroom
management, professional growth and development and knowledge and skills enhancement that lead to the
upliftment of student-centered learning. As is said, quality teachers produce quality learners.
Anent this, Gosi National High School will conduct a Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation
and School-Based INSET to GNHS Personnel on February 06-10. The said training program aims to
enhance and improve the competency of teachers, and non-teaching personnel designed around
specific work-related development objectives aligned with school vision and mission.
Program/Course Terminal:
Description The training/activity aims
to enhance and improve the competency of teachers, and non-teaching personnel, and
school leaders through formal or informal professional development activities designed
around specific work-related development objectives.
Enabling:
By the end of this Program, participants will be able to:
a. Upskill and reskill GNHS personnel in improving competencies in delivering services to the students;
b. Update and orient financial benefits and other related human resource management concerns;
c. Enhance teaching strategies and PAPs to address learning gaps.
Professional Domain 1, Content Knowledge and Pedagogy, is composed of seven strands:
1. Philosophy of teaching
2. Dignity of teaching as a profession
3. Professional links with colleagues
4. Professional reflection and learning to improve practice
5. Professional development goals
