Analyze
1. Which of the seven types of curriculum in the school setting is easy to find? Why?
Among the seven types of curriculum in the school setting, the recommended
curriculum is the easiest to find. The recommended curriculum is construed by the
educational stakeholders at the national level. It is more general and often presented
by the authority to schools.
2. Which is difficult to observe? Why?
The hidden curriculum is the most difficult to observe because it consists of
concepts informally and often unintentionally taught in our school system. The hidden
curriculum is all those things that are taught in schools that aren’t written down in
syllabus documents.
3. Are these all found in the school setting? How do curricula relate to one another?
All the curriculum can be found inside the school setting. Curricula have a
strong link with one another, and they all benefit from one another. Each of them
plays a vital role in the development and growth of learners.

Reflect
The curricula are organized in such a way that the outcomes build on one another. Each type
of curriculum should be linked to one another. Any gap along the line will make the connection weak
and will lead to obstacles in the accomplishment of the overall purpose of the curriculum. It also
standardizes the learning goals for an entire school and provides a clear path for students to progress
from one grade to another. Additionally, the curricula connect teachers from across grade levels and
subject areas to look at the big picture of student learning.
