JPT License

User’s Manual
JPT License is a software tool to maintain licenses for the Jura Personalization Toolkit.
The licenses are stored in the internal memory of the Sentinel HASP hardware keys, contains:

• Expiry date
• IPI/LS generating counter
• Dongle and customer IDs

With JPT License Jura can remotely extend the validity of the key.

Quick Guide

1. Plug the dongle and start JPT License

2. Save Key Data file

3. Send the JKD to [email protected]

4. Jura is going to reply a Key License file

5. Activate the dongle with the received JKL file


Before using JPT License

JPT License works on Windows 8.1/10/11 (32/64 bit), downloadable from:

The package contains:


• JPT License.exe
• User’s Manual (this document)

For JPT issued before 2011 (version 4 or 5, incl. for update from 4/5 to new JPT) use
JPT License v7: https://personalization.jura.hu/Utilities/JPT_License_7.zip

On Windows XP and for old, HASP4 dongles use this version:

Before executing JPT License.exe, do the following:

1. Insert the Jura HASP HL hardware key to the PC.

2. Download, decompress and run JPT Runtime Installer :

The installer contains the essential Microsoft and Sentinel HASP drivers.

Verify license status

To see the current status of the license, just click on Key info.

Note, if the counter is not shown if its amount is over 1million.


Using JPT License

1. With our tool, JPT_License.exe save the current status of the dongle into a Key Data (.JKD) file.

2. Important! Do not use the
dongle from now, best to unplug to be sure! Otherwise it can’t be activated with the new
license.

3. Send the JKD to [email protected]. We are going to reply a new license (.JKL) file.

4. (Plug +) activate the key with the license. Now you can continue using it.

By default, the dongle is not linked to a particular computer, so JPT License can be used on
a different one, not just on the personalization station. Upon request, Jura can dedicate the
license to one single PC.
