- Biometrics
- Many industries are slowly converting
biometric to the Philippines. As time
progresses more are choosing to upgrade
their systems to accommodate the
technological advancement of biometric.
Other countries enjoy the security and ease
provided by biometric technology.

- Recently, biometric has not only been

limited to fingerprints. New technology
embraces facial recognition, iris
recognition, body language analysis, and
RFIDs. Every industry is finding the perfect
way to keep up with new upgrades.

 Eco-tourism
- The Philippines is blessed with an
abundance of natural cultural attractions
with great prospects for the development of
ecotourism. Ecotourism has become a
major national strategy for launching local
development. In Pandin Lake, ecotourism
development is a locally driven and non-
national organization inspired by the
organization, and in Tayak Hill, it is a top-
driven effort where the efforts are primarily
local action and executive.

of administrative agencies. At Tayak Hill,
the admission conditions consisted of: the
urgent need for establishing a promotional
identity for the town and a catalyst for local
socioeconomic development; the advent of

the discovery of Tayak Hill as a historical
landmark.

 Internet of Things
- This is especially important in hotel rooms
where there is now the option to control all
sorts of things through one app. These
smart rooms allow people to change the
temperature or connect devices to the room
very easily. It is also now possible for
passenger flights to find their luggage

Lufthansa (German Airline) has recently
introduced, and it is something that other
airlines may look to adopt as well. It offers
peace of mind to passengers as they will

times.

 Location-Based Data
- It allows the companies and destination
marketers the ability to get a better view
of how many people are using a space. It
can be used at events to complement
ticket sales for the number of people in
attendance or in simple public places

 Train Travel Chugging Forward

- The growing trend towards eco-tourism,
along with general trends towards the
travel experience and getting things done
slowly has brought about the recent
resumption of train travel. In 2017, a
quarter of global travelers put “going on
a long railroad trip” as one of their top
travel activities. Now in 2019, 56% said
they would not mind spending a longer
trip to their destination if they took a
unique mode of transportation and 62%
said they wanted to go on a trip where
transportation was part of the experience.
Generation variations also suggest
growing interest in train travel due to
Expedia's discovery that earlier
generations were more likely to travel by
train. The company reported that 13% of
Gen Z traveled by rail for their latest trip,
compared to 9% of millennials and 8%
of boomers. Travelers prefer to travel by
luxury, historical or beautiful trains.
- In today’s dynamic and fast-paced world,
many travelers want to slow down and
bring a variety of relaxation to their
vacation. Trains offer a unique and slow
way to explore, allowing travelers to sit
and see the sights as they travel from the
comfort of their whimsical and warm
cabins. Luxurious and historic trains in
particular often have an interior
reminiscent of the days when train travel
was an elegant activity, coupled with
stunning scenery they created for unique
travel experiences (and posts on
Instagram!). Not surprisingly, 64% of
global travelers are interested in taking a
historic train journey.

Most importantly, choosing to travel by

train in airplanes reduces our carbon
footprint and is a big reason why many
express interests in rail travel. Not
surprisingly, the Swedes, who are
seriously dealing with climate change,
even have one word for someone who
chooses to travel by train over the air:
tagskryt. 2020 is the year of rediscovery
of train travel and everyone is ready to
jump.
