2 General Arrangement
3 General safety information

2 GENERAL ARRANGEMENT
The Generator output / Neutral point cubicle (NPC) comprises of three phase
terminals and three neutral terminals with the star formation. It is also provided with
Current Transformer, Neutral grounding Resistor, Neutral Voltage Transformer,
Marshalling Box (Terminal box), Pamos® Sensor, flexibles, Seal off bushing and
insulator etc.

3 FUNCTION AND DESIGN OF THE SYSTEM

NPC is intended to house phase & neutral busbars that serve as interconnection
between the generator terminals and the isolated phase busduct. It also houses the
generator star point formation and necessary protection equipments like Current
Transformer, Neutral grounding Resistor, Neutral Voltage Transformer, Marshalling
Box (Terminal box), and Pamos® Sensor for Generator protection.
NPC is suitable to withstand short circuit force of 100kA(rms) for one second and
255kA (peak), This also suitable to impulse withstand voltage for 125kV(peak).

4 PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Generator output / Neutral Point Cubicle (NPC)is intended to house phase & neutral
busbars that serve as interconnection between the generator terminals and the
isolated phase busduct.
NPC is being a static electrical equipment, after commissioning this equipment and
connection between generator and Isolated phase busduct no operation required for
this equipment. Once generator will generate the power the power will go through
the NPC to Isolated phase busduct, transformer etc.
