Our Project Name: NewImage Wind Solar

Our team, GoingPlaces created a product called NewImage Wind Solar. As climate
change continues to occur, more and more species continue to be harmed, including humans.
With NewImage Wind Solar, we created a way to improve one of the harmful ways we affect the
Earth by polluting our Earth while generating energy. Currently, in order for anyone to get
electricity, harmful substances, such as fossil fuels, are put through a power plant which not only
pollute our air, but can leave behind nuclear waste as well. NewImage Wind Solar changes all of
that, putting a new spin on wind energy and solar energy. NewImage Wind Solar created
windmills the size of street signs, that are placed on every other block. These windmills generate
enough electricity for every resident within two blocks. This also means that electricity will be
more efficient within these blocks as the energy is only being distributed between a certain
number of people rather than everyone in the city. Moreover, with the windmills being cylinder
shaped, they creates less noise for the residents nearby as they continuously spin. On the other
hand when there is no wind, that’s where the solar part comes into play. On the top of each
windmill, there is a cone covered in solar panels that, in place, generate electricity. Consumers
would pay for this as if it’s a regular electric bill and would benefit from this in the long run as it
is eco friendly.

The challenge was to create an approach using technology to help people respond to
challenges due to climate change. Climate change is a natural occurrence which is increasing due
to the human activities we are performing from exploiting Earth’s natural resources to pollution
the air with power plants. Buy using these natural resources like fossil fuels, we are putting them
through power plants in order to generate energy and electricity for humans. With this advantage
of electricity comes a cost. When generating electricity, many pollutants are added onto this
Earth that we only have one of. Our idea of the NewImage Wind Solar is an approach to lessen
the pollution generated when creating electricity. With NewImage Wind Solar, we are able to
provide more electricity to residents by having wind turbines at the end of every other block.
Residents that live near wind turbine farms are often bothered by the sound of these turbines
which result them to have sleep problems like insomnia. Inside our turbine is a break which
stops the mills from spinning too fast preventing loud noise.Our wind solar turbine is silent
ensuring peaceful sleep for residents living nearby. The solar panels on the wind turbines
provide energy no matter the wind conditions. By merging these two every eco friendly
creations, we have the NewImage Wind Solar. The NewImage turbines will help contribute to
the decrease of air pollution generated when producing other energy. This idea is simply another
alternative source for where we can get our electricity without having to pollute the Earth which
is limited with resources. Turning to new alternatives to preserve what we have are essential to
fighting climate change since we cannot prevent.

Current companies, such as PG&E, are unable to meet the needs that NewImage Wind
Solar can meet because we are entirely eco friendly. We are reliant completely on wind energy
and solar energy. With our windmills, we strive to eliminate the use of power plants to generate
electricity. Unlike our competitors, our electricity is not generated in bulk and distributed
amongst the city, but through individual windmills on every other block. As a result of this, we
are able to provide better connection as each windmill only generates to a certain number of
residents. This means the electricity provided by NewImage Wind Solar is a lot stronger than our
competitors. Our windmills are also in a unique shape of a cylinder. That way, as they spin, they
do not disrupt residents. GoingPlaces has found a way to provide residents with eco friendly
energy without causing disruptions or disturbances.

Our ideal customers are located in urban areas due to the high consumption rate of
electricity. In cities, more people are living there resulting in more people that are using
electricity. People living in highly populated residential areas like cities would most likely be
encouraging the production of this wind turbine. Their ages range from 20 to 60 years old. 55%
of our customers are male since they tend to be more watchful with where and what they spend
their money on. Whereas females are 45% because they tend to spend their money on clothing
and accessories rather than on goods that will truly benefit them. Acquiring a high school
diploma or higher, our customers are likely to be middle to upper class residents because they
have the money and knowledge to be able to support this innovation. They will most likely value
technology and electricity but at the same time care for the environment so they will commonly
be buying organic foods and products. With caring for the environment, they will presumably be
conservative in everything they use and careful to not waste anything that may be useful.
Having technological advancements that are constantly being introduced, they are presumed to
adapting to changes which they will approve of.
