CAUTIONS
Make certain that all operators are properly trained and know how to safely and
correctly operate the unit.
Never install, adjust and maintain the unit with unapproved replacement parts.
Keep all instructions permanently with the unit and all name plates and warning
labels on the unit clean and visible.
Allow the unit to run only in proper work area with adequate space, do not obstruct
any ventilation opening on the unit.
Installation of the unit must be done by personnel qualified to work with electricity
and plumbing and must comply with all applicable nation and local codes.
This unit is equipped with a three-core cable for your protection against shock
hazard and should be connected directly into a properly grounded circuit breaker.
For periodic maintenance and repairs, electrical diagrams are included in this
manual and with the unit.
Disconnect from power source when cleaning and/or servicing this unit.

INTRODUCTION
Water cooler SMC-180 serves to provide bakery with cold water at 2°C~8°C, thus it
can replace the use of ice, which can cause damages to the mixer and undermine the
quality of the final product by mechanically changing the gluten during dough mixing.
Water medium inside the tank cools down and eventually forms ice-water mixture
after water cooler starts working, when cold water is needed, tap water at room
temperature flows through center coil pipe that is submerged in ice-water mixture and
thus can be cooled to 2°C~8°C, there is no need to worry that tap water might be
contaminated by foreign objects.
One agitator stirs inside the water medium all the time when water cooler works, the
other one starts only if the temperature measured near center coil pipe is higher than
setting value, this design ensures a more efficient exchange of heat. The volume of
ice can be precisely controlled even the unit is left unattended all night long, thanks to
the control switch, we can get cold water in the early morning without worrying that ice
may have built up too much and damaged center coil pipe last night.

INSTALLATION
PRE-INSTALLATION
─ Retain all shipping materials until you are certain that the water cooler has not
been damaged (either externally or internally) during shipment. It is solely
customer’s responsibility to report any shipping damage to the freight company.
─ Check the area where the water cooler is to be installed for the following:
a) The flooring must be firm, level and slip-resistant.
b) The area must be drafty and relatively cool, make sure all the ventilation
openings on the water cooler are unobstructed.
c) It is necessary to prepare the room for all connections to the water cooler:
electricity and water shutoffs are required within a reasonable distance to the
water cooler.
CONNECTION
─ Connect the 220V single phase electrical service connection to the water cooler.
Consult the data plate for specific current and voltage ratings. Be sure that the wire
used is in compliance with local requirements. Grounding is vital to avoid
unexpected damage and accident, make sure the water cooler is well grounded.
─ Connect tap water to the water cooler at the water inlet. Water supply must be
between 30 and 70 PSI at all times. A flexible hose needs to be attached to the
water outlet to have cold water delivered to a bakery water meter.

OPERATION
6
─ To adjust the thermostat
One of those agitators is controlled by the thermostat, it only starts when the
temperature measured near center coil pipe is higher than 5°C. We hereby provide
the procedure of changing the setting value:
Access the “machine status” menu by pressing and quickly releasing the “set” key.
The label of the “SEt” folder appears. To display the setting value press the “set”
key again. To change the setting value, use the “UP” and “DOWN” keys within 15s.

MAINTENANCE
─ All the cleaning and maintenance work must be performed after the water cooler
has been disconnected from power supply.
─ Change the water inside water tank every month to keep water clean.
─ Clean the condenser monthly, this is done for a longer service time of refrigeration
system and energy saving.
─ The water cooler can be cleaned with damp cloth. Do not clean stainless steel with
chlorine-base detergent and tools which may scratch surface. Do not flush the
water cooler with water directly as it may result in short circuit.
