Remove
1 Remove top part of air filter AR09.10-P-1050G
2.1 Remove compressor, install Engine 111 with supercharger AR09.50-P-4705A
3 Position piston of cylinder 1 to 20° after ignition Crank engine at crankshaft
TDC At 20° after ignition TDC of cylinder 1, the
timing chain cannot skip at the camshaft
sprockets with the chain tensioner removed.
To check whether cylinder 1 is positioned at
20° after ignition TDC, remove the oil filler cap
(25). The tips of the intake cams (arrow) of
cylinder 1 must point upwards at an angle.
4 Cover over alternator e.g. with clean rag
5 Slacken end piece (1) one turn
6 Remove chain tensioner (14) complete If the complete chain tensioner is
slackened, it must be removed, disassembled
and reassembled as described.

7 Install chain tensioner (14) AR05.10-P-7800-02A
8 Run engine and inspect for leaks
