About NLIU
National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, established by the
Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam (No. 41 of
1997) enacted by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature, and recently
substituted by the Madhya Pradesh National Law Institute University
Act, 2018 (No. 6 of 2018), has been a leading law school in the
country imparting legal education and promoting research and
publication. NLIU, Bhopal, is recognized by the University Grants
Commission and the Bar Council of India.

The vision of NLIU, Bhopal, is to become one of the world's best


centres of legal education, training, and research. The objectives of
NLIU, Bhopal, among other things, are to contribute to national
development by instilling a sense of responsibility among its students

About
e-Nyayaganga
e-Nyayaganga: Digital Legal Literacy – Design, Development,
Management and Testing (National Level) is a project under the
scheme on Access to Justice (A2J), Department of Justice, Ministry of
Law and Justice, Government of India (GoI), titled “Designing
Innovative Solutions and Holistic Access to Justice (DISHA)” from
2021 to 2026. National Law Institute University, Bhopal, has been
designated as the National Nodal agency for e-Nyayaganga Project.

The objective of this project is to facilitate the targeted marginalised


sections of the society to have the requisite digital skill-set to search,
understand and seek the legal rights ensured to them by new
enactments and amendments in the law. This project focuses to
empower the targeted marginalised sections of the society to learn
methods of seeking knowledge of the law affecting their rights and
duties & it can only be possible when information on access to justice
and justice delivery mechanism available at the doorstep of the
marginalised and vulnerable section of the society through mass
proliferation methods involving digital media.

Eligibility
1. The candidate should be an undergraduate or postgraduate student
from the field of Law/Media Studies/Design/Multimedia/Social Work
from a recognized College/University established in India.
2. The candidate must have good research, writing and designing skills.
3. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Desirable Skills
1. Knowledge of various national and international frameworks and
schemes related to digital legal literacy and Access to Justice (A2J).
2. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
3. Working knowledge of the Internet, MS Office/Excel and other
desktop/mobile-based technologies for designing software and sound
digital knowledge.
4. Should have proven experience in report writing, documenting and
presenting PPTs, and organizing conferences/ seminars and events.
5. Should have proven skills in secondary data analysis and data
management on social sector programming.
6. Candidates with a background in designing and developing digital
content will be preferred.

Nature of Duties
1. Developing digital legal literacy pedagogy focusing on rights and
duties and welfare schemes.
2. Legal Aid and Access to Justice Advocacy for vulnerable and
marginalized sections.
3. Community intervention projects.
4. Digital knowledge management and content development.
Disqualifications
1. The candidate must not reveal any confidential information during or
after the internship to any organization, institution or related
department.
2. The candidate must not be involved in any disciplinary proceedings
with the College or University studying or any other authority or
convicted of any offence by the Court of Law.
3. The candidate is not completing the assigned work within the timeline
provided.

Duration of Internship
The internship duration is initially one month, which may extend on a
need basis.

Mode of Selection
1. The selection of interns will be considered based on the
recommendation by the Selection Committee constituted for this
purpose.
2. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding, and
no further claim will be entertained.

Application Deadline
The application will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Terms of Internship
1. The internship does not entail payment of a stipend.
2. The engagement as a intern is purely temporary and shall not
confer any right or claim in future for regular appointment in the
NLIU, Bhopal.
3. The intern may be discharged without prior notice.
4. A intern intending to terminate their engagement may do so after
completing assigned tasks and one-week prior notice.
5. The research intern may be attached to the Project Monitoring
Unit/Project Implementing Committee.

Internship Certificate
The research intern shall be issued a certificate of internship only after
completing the internship term.
