women have been relegated into the background in recent years by tracing the history

5.Classify the research based on its usage. Is it basic or applied research?

Explain your answer.

The document is a basic research because a basic research does not have immediate
commercial objectives and although it certainly could, it may not necessarily result in an
invention or a solution to a practical problem. It is an approach to research that seeks to
expand knowledge in a field of study which means basic research is knowledge-
specific.

6.Classify the research based on its purpose. Is it exploratory, descriptive, or

explanatory? Explain your answer.

7.What are the main premises and arguments of the research? Do you agree with
any of them?

‘’Women are weaker and needs male protection; that women are and should remain
wives, mothers, and homemakers and in looking for jobs, women themselves saw high
occupational aspirations and steady commitment to a career as competing with their
family role’’. I just don’t agree with the fact that people still assumes that women are
weaker than men. Not because they are women, they can’t do what men can do. The
inequality established is perpetuated by a set of complex process known as sexism.
Sexism involves they beliefs that one sex is superior than to other. The ongoing
relations of men and women, gender is a socially prescribed relationship. Gender roles
are major source of social inequality. Gender inequality refers to unequal treatment or
perceptions of individuals based on their gender. It arises from differences in socially
constructed gender roles as well as biologically through chromosomes, brain structure,
and hormonal differences.

8.How would you rate/evaluate the premises and arguments of the research?

That give women rights to do whatever they want without comparing to men. Stop
assuming that because he is a man, he is stronger, not all men are stronger. Women
can do those thing as well as what men can do. The Spanish imposed religion in the
country which had so much misogynistic ideas that demeaned women.
