learners to have rapport, and open connection

Others Philosophies:

1. Based on your findings and observations in activity 16.1 and 16.2, which philosophies of education
are dominant in Philippine basic schools? Why do you say so?

If I were to choose, it would be mainly essentialism and progressivism

that dominate the Philippine educational system. This is simply my
observation of the learners' daily routines and the teaching-learning
process. Furthermore, as I read through the curriculum's vision, mission,
and objectives, I notice that it is heavily influenced and reflected by
those philosophies.

2. If there is one philosophy that schools and teachers should give more attention to, what should that
be and why?

I believed that it would be constructivism that needed more attention

and practice in the teaching-learning process. There should be more
opportunities for learners to express and construct their own
knowledge and experiences in creative and practical ways. By allowing
and establishing this, a democratic, versatile, and interactive process
can surely develop learners who are active, good, and helpful members
of society as autonomous individuals. Hence, teachers will surely be
more effective.

What is your philosophy of etching? This describes what you believed you should teach, how you should
teach and how you should relate to others in school - with learners, your colleagues, your superiors and
all other stakeholders. Write them down. The title is “ My Philosophy of Teaching”

From my perspective, there are two definitions of teaching. In the

sense of a purpose or a cause that one is enthusiastic about, it can
most definitely be a crusade. where a lot of instructors aim to have a
positive impact on their students' lives and feel a great sense of
purpose in their employment. The fact that it requires committing
oneself to the upbringing and development of others is another reason
why it is frequently regarded as a noble vocation. In forming the
future generation and assisting students in realizing their full
potential, teachers play a crucial role. It calls for endurance, empathy,
and a readiness to prioritize the needs of others over one's own.

As a result, it is vital for all teachers to approach their jobs with

compassion and a dedication to improvement. Creating a welcoming and
inclusive classroom climate that promotes a sense of belonging and
well-being for all students is compassionate teaching. It also entails
demonstrating understanding, empathy, and concern for one's pupils. In
order to better serve one's students, a teacher must continually learn
new things and make improvements. This may entail maintaining current
on educational best practices, looking for professional development
opportunities, and analyzing one's own teaching methods to pinpoint
areas for improvement. You can better meet the needs of your students
and support their success if you approach teaching with compassion and
a dedication to learning.

Building rapport and positive relationships between instructors

and students, coworkers, supervisors, and other stakeholders are crucial
within the school community
