______The weather in the capital varies constantly during the day, and although the
temperatures are not usually extreme, it is common to get rain, sunshine, clouds, and more rain
on the same day. Rain is frequent during the whole year, so it’s a good idea to always carry an
umbrella or raincoat when visiting the city. Although in London it rains quite often, it is usually
drizzle, which normally means, you’ll still be able to continue your sightseeing.
It has a mild temperature all year round and during the winter months (from December to March
approximately). It is unusual to get temperatures below freezing.
The summers are usually warm and sometimes can be hot. The sunniest months are July and
August. However, it is also very likely to rain during these months, so always take an umbrella
with you.
______Located in southern part of the continent and due to the distance from the sea as well as
its higher elevation, the capital city features four full seasons. The city has a climate that is
comparable to the states in the northern part of the United States. The weather in Canberra is also
similar to the American plains, with hot but dry summers, and equally cold winters. Snowfall
isn’t as common however, and when it does snow it doesn’t generally last.
Summer is from late December until late March, and January and February are the warmest
months.
The rainy season is in the spring and the hottest month, January can also be quite wet. The
storms in the summer however are quick and passing. The winters are cold and if you’re visiting
in July and August you should plan accordingly, and take warm clothes with you.
______The capital has a semi-continental climate, with a warm, humid summer and a very cold
winter. Winters in Ottawa are severe, snow depths of greater than 1 cm are seen on about 120
days each year. It is very cold and all you need are warm clothes, hats, mitts and boots.
Ottawa, like other cities in Ontario, enjoys a sunny climate. Summers usually have a generous
number of warm or hot sunny days. Winters are rather less sunny than in the rest of the country.
Ottawa’s day-to day-weather can be changeable during the year.
