OPERATING GUIDE FOR CAR OPERATING PANEL

Car operating panel with cover plate will be mounted on the front wall.
If floor buttons on the operating panel were pushed, the light of the buttons
will be on. When a car services to the floors registered by car calls,
the corresponding button turns off.

At the Locked Service Cabinet

(1) Up Button

To change the direction of the car movement.

(2) Down Button

To change the direction of the car movement.

(3) Start Button

It is used by an operator for closing the door and


ST starting the elevator. But, it can be operated only during
“ATT” mode is activated.

(4) Pass Button


It is used by an operator for the purpose of by passing

But, it is operated by the “ATT” mode only

(5) Stop Switch

NORMAL This switch is used for stopping the elevator at any position
when it is pushed to “STOP” while a maintenance work
being performed the elevator return to normal operation
when the switch is pushed to the “NORMAL” position.

(6) Lighting On/ Off Switch

ON The Ceiling lamp is controlled by switching the light On/Off


switch

(7) ATT Switch ( ATT : Attendant operation)

NORMAL This switch can be changed to the manual operation


(Attendant operation) from normal operation.
And to the normal operation when the switch is changed
to “NORMAL”.

(8) Independent On/Off Switch

NORMAL This switch can be changed to the independent operation


from duplex or group control.
To change back to the duplex or group control operation when
the switch is changed to “NORMAL”.

(9) D.C.O Switch (Door Cut Off)

NORMAL This switch is designed to keep the door from opening


or closing by the motor.
This switch is used when the doors are required to be opened
or closed for a long period.
To change back to the normal operation when the switch is
D.C.O changed to “NORMAL”.

(10) E.F.S Switch (To stop the Lift at the every floor)

NORMAL This switch is designed to stop the Lift at every floor for
crime prevention.
To change back to the normal operation when the switch is
changed to “NORMAL”.

(13) Maintenance switch

NORMAL For the operation change to “maintenance” operation

(14) Inspect Light switch (The bottom lamp switch for Car)

OFF This switch is designed to light the bottom side of car


during maintenance.
When this switch is “ON”, the “MAINTE” switch shall
be “ON” mode for slow speed operation

HOW TO OPERATE LIFTS

Lift at ground floor response to hall call

The fan and the light shall be
automatically shut off and after 30
minutes the lift is not in use

HOW TO RESCUE PASSENGERS

(1) The purpose of the maintenance

In order to guarantee the best function and operation of the installed lifts, and to
maintain their best operating conditions, it is necessary to keep up periodical
maintenance.

Building owner must get a person to take care of lift, and he shall be qualified and
trained to prepare safety countermeasure for emergency.

(2) How to respond in case of breakdown

When a passenger is left at the lift due to power failure, breakdown or misuse,
press alarm button on Car Operating panel immediately until someone arrives.

Do not force to open the doors. Unnatural action or operation may cause more dangerous
situation.

Breathe deeply and relax, then you will be perfectly safe.

Emergency light will still be on even if power failure occurs.

It is necessary to educate children not to be scared in case of being stand alone in Lift.

(3) Caution

Be careful not to fall down into the hoistway when you open the car and landing
doors to rescue passenger.

Only authorized person is permitted to use landing door key.

Before you open the landing door, make sure of the lift position and state
of lift operation.
HOW TO RESCUE PASSENGERS

(4) Rescue method in detail

1) In case car stop 150 ∼ 300mm from the landing level.

Open the landing door of the floor move or stopped floor,


rotate the door machine manually and rescue passengers.

2) In case car stop 300 ∼ 600mm from the landing level.

Open the landing door of the floor above,


rotate the door machine manually and rescue passengers.

3) In case car stop 600 ∼ 1000mm from the landing level.


Open the landing door of the floor above, rotate the door machine manual and
rescue passengers.
To be careful to prevent passengers from falling down, help them out.

Notice
Actions such as following figures are absolutely prohibited.

HOW TO USE LIFT PROPERLY

(1) Thank you for your proper and safe use of lift.
Overload, vandalism, nuisance call is not to be allowed for your safety

(2) Please press button of destination softly to avoid any breakage or


unfavorable function.

(3) Do not litter any material on sill to avoid door breakdown.

(4) Do not jump inside car.


Safety problem could be caused.

(5) Children and Old people should be guided by attendant for safety.

(6) In the event of breakdown or power failure.


Do not open door by force.
Press the alarm bell button and wait for rescue.
ARRANGING & CLEANING

The arrangement and the cleaning works are the most important things
of all maintenance works of lift.
And, also lifts as the decorations of the building should be clean.

Try to do the cleaning works of lift everyday for the preservation


of the clean conditions.

Have the customers do cleaning of Car, Jamb and Door.

Dusters used in the motor room should be separately arranged


according to their use.

The oil box should be completely closed, and keep it off from
the combustibles.

Abolish the oil and the dusters at the given place, and be careful
for the fire.
