Based on the Task Manager on my Windows, it displays several columns that show the
processing that is running on my computer. One of the columns displayed the memory
usage of my computer. Referring to the snapped picture below, we can see that the current
memory at that moment has taken up to 86% that consist of 4 apps and 176 Background
processes. As we know, Memory displayed in the task manager can be defined as a
continuously updated display of how much of our RAM is being used by each process and
each user at the given moment. Total memory usage is shown in the column header.
On the other side, we can see the first column here shows the current CPU at that moment
has taken up to 5% from the summation of 4 apps and 176 Background processes. CPU also
can be defined as a continuously updated display of how much of your CPU's resources each
process, as well as each user, is using at the given moment. Total percentage of total CPU
utilization is shown in the column header and includes all processors and processor cores.
As the processes are running, the percentage of each column constantly increasing. In terms
of overall memory usage, comparing to my installed RAM in my computer, which is 4.00 GB
(3.81 GB usable), I can conclude that the memory has took up 3.2 GB over 3.8 GB in my
RAM.

Apart from CPU and Memory, I can see that there are other column displaying some numbers which
is the network. This column provides a real-time graphical view of the current network activities of
my computer. The information provided is for all network adapters installed on my computer. Figure
1.0 shows the Networking tab. By default, the Networking column of the Task Manager shows only
the following information: Name of Adapter, Network Utilization, Link Speed and State of the
Connection. Looking at the percentage of network utilization for a particular adapter, I can quickly
determine if the connection is running as expected or if it is overused.

1.3 The Importance of operating system
First, it helps to create new files in computer system and placing them at the specific locations.
Secondly, it contributes in easily and quickly locating these files in computer system. Apart from
that, it provides for the process of sharing of the files among different users very easy and user
friendly. Other than that, it stores the files in separate folders known as directories. These
directories help users to search file quickly or to manage the files according to their types or uses.
