Complete My Performance Review
INTRODUCTION
This section shows you how to access and complete your performance review.
2. Select the Menu button (upper left corner) and then select Performance.
3. In the Performance screen, select the Reviews tab, then under Review Cycle, select 20XX
Performance Review to launch your employee self-assessment for the current review period.
The top portion of your performance review displays your profile information, the Period being
reviewed, and the Due Date. As you begin rating your competencies, your Average Rating will also
display here.
The light blue banner at the top contains instructions. Select the View more link in the lower right of the
banner.
Using the tools at the bottom-left of the screen, you can activate Autosave or select Save as Draft to return to
your review later. You can also Print your performance review from here.
Note: Setting Auto-Save or utilizing Save as Draft can be especially useful if the application times out on you
or if you need to return to the screen to finish your review assessment later. As stated in the Preview screen
discussed later in this document, saving your review as a draft will not be visible to your leaders.
There are multiple Competency sections with multiple Behaviors in each. Read each Competency (title
within the gray bar) and its Behavior (numbered blue text).
Note: Select the Behavior text in blue to expand the behavior section. In the expanded view, you will see the
behavior descriptions and Rating selection bar. Be sure to select the …View more text to read the full
behavior description.
After reviewing the Behavior description, you will select your Rating.
Select the Rating selection bar to choose a rating of either a 1, 2, or 3. Looking closely at the Rating bar, you
see segments to select your rating choice. You can hover over your selected rating description on the right to
view its description. All answers are equally weighted.
Note: 2 - Consistently Meets Expectations is considered a solid performance rating and is recommended as a
baseline for satisfactory performance.
Place your cursor in the Comments box, then type a thoughtful comment regarding why your chosen
competency rating is appropriate. Hover over the various formatting icons to view their functions.
Note: Comments are required by the system and will error when you select Preview or Save if they are left
blank. (Selecting Preview also saves your work.)
Repeat these steps until you have completed rating and commenting on all competency behaviors.
1. Select the Preview button to see a preview of your performance review. The Preview screen opens.
2. Review the information you entered for your Rating and Comments. If you have skipped rating a
behavior or commenting on a competency, you will see errors outlined in red.
3. If you have errors, Cancel from Preview. Make necessary changes and select Preview to review
again.
6. After you have confirmed your submission, the Status for your performance review will display as
Manager Review. Now your Leader can see your review and begin entering their Ratings and
Comments.
After you and your Leader have both confirmed submission of your performance review, Human Resources will
review and notify you when the review has been approved and is ready for the signature process. Refer to the
Performance Review Signature Process on page 10 for the step-by-step guide.
