REQUIRED COMMITMENT (MINIMUM) FOR AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES

• FORMS 1, 2 & 3

Pupils must do two sports of which one must be a team sport. Each boy must at least
do cricket or swimming. Pupils must do at least one club.

Note: Swimming takes precedence over all other activities. All pupils selected for
swimming shall be required to attend when asked to do so.

All Form 1, Form 2, Form 3 pupils will continue to do four afternoons of co-curricular
activities, regardless of age.

• FORMS 4, LOWER AND UPPER SIX

Pupils must do two different activities of which one must be a team sport and the other
a club.

• COMPULSORY SUPPORT

Specific dates and fixtures will be nominated for compulsory support and pupils are
required to attend.

• EXCUSE NOTES

Excuses from activities MUST be made in writing PRIOR to the event and must have the
pupil’s full name, surname and class, or they will not be accepted. Notes must be handed
to the Teacher in Charge of the activity. Excuse notes for medical reasons MUST be
from a doctor or qualified medical practitioner.

NOTE: Both pupils and parents/guardians are encouraged to get fully involved in the
sporting and cultural life of the School.

Owing to school transport constraints parents/guardians may be requested to transport

pupils, when necessary, to nearby venues especially at weekends.

*Due to limited space on our busses, pupils are allowed to bring a maximum of 2
sports bags for overnight stays. No large travel bags are permitted. Depending on
the duration of the stay, a single bag may suffice. Staff will communicate the
number of bags which may be brought for each trip on the fixture notice slip.
