a period of 80 years.
In 1930, there were a few houses on both sides of the only road which ran
through the middle of the village of Stokeford. By 2010, the local shops
had disappeared and only the post office remained. The two areas of
farmland to the north-east and south-west of the village were converted
into residential areas. Over the same period, more streets were built,
leading off the main road to give access to additional housing. Housing
was also extended along the main road.
In addition, the local primary school opposite the Post Office was
enlarged with 2 new blocks. Gardens formed the centre of the village in
1930, but by 2010 more houses had been built on this site and the large
house within the grounds was extended to become a retirement home.
The maps demonstrate the transformation of an island with the
introduction of tourism.
Overall, the new construction has allowed visitors to access the island by
sea and provides them with accommodation.
As the island has been developed for tourism, guest houses, which are
connected to each other by footpaths, now occupy the majority of its area.
At the centre of the lodging area, there is a reception, to the north of
which a restaurant has been built.
On the south of island, a pier has enlarged, which allows boats to dock.
From there, visitors are transported to the reception by vehicles on a
designated track. On the west of the island, the beach has now been
turned into a swimming area, where guests can conveniently access using
the footpath.

The maps below show how the town of Harborne changes from 1936 to
2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features,
and make comparisons where relevant.
The floor plans below show the changes that were made to a house over a
six-month period.
The illustrations reveal the alterations that occurred at a residential
building.
Overall, the main difference is that the renovated building has one less
internal wall.
Looking at the point of entry to the house in the middle, there is no longer
a porch in the updated house. In addition, on the left side of the house the
wall has been removed between the sitting room and kitchen to make one
large living space, with a dining table placed in the middle. The cooking
area has been moved to the right-hand wall of the kitchen, and there is no
longer an area for eating in the rear of the kitchen.
Turning to the right-hand side of the house, in the rear the bathroom has
been modified by moving the toilets to the middle of the room and
replacing the bathtub with a shower. The wardrobes have been removed
from both bedrooms. In additions, the window has been removed from
the rear bedroom, while the front bedroom has a smaller window.
Presented are the two maps exhibiting the changes in the layout of a
community centre from past to present.
In the past, there was a small entrance in the north of the community
centre leading to the car park located in the east part of the whole wite.
Additionally, to its south-west corner, a large garden was situated,
occupying the one-third of the west area of the map. The remaining
facilities of the community centre include a cafe and two meeting rooms
built on the west, and an art room, an IT room and a gym were erected in
the east.
At present, the parking lot has been expanded further to the west of ( về
phía Đông hơn) the original one, occupying almost 75% of the whole
layout. Moreover, the area of the garden and a part of the gym has been
converted into an reception area. The IT room has been extended slighly,
while the size of the art room has shrunk/decreased. However, there was
no change observed in the rest of the layout including the two meeting
rooms whose position is retained as that of the original ones.
