Staples shall have crowns not less than ¥% in, (19.05 mm) and shall engage not less than three strands of lath and penetrate the wood framing members not less than 34 in, (19.05 mm). When metal lath is applied over sheathing, use fasteners that will penetrate the structural members not less than % in. (19 mom), 7.10.2.3 Expanded 4% in.
