Project Requirements

Files to be uploaded on Moodle platform:


 Database (Access)
 Project’s documentation (only Word/Writer/WordPad/PDF)

Minimal requirements:
a)      A realistic storyboard with unconventional drawings, form and report drafts (the starting
point could be the example depicted in the lab book) about your chosen domain. (1.5 points);

b)      A minimum set of 4 interrelated tables (3 points for an accurate and appropriate
database design);

c)      One form for each table, which will assist the user to input data in these tables. The forms
have to combine naturally the info from various tables (use subforms). Two forms must also
have derived (computed) fields, buttons, and lists. (1.5 points);

d)     At least 4 domain-oriented queries:

 1 parameter query,
 1 based on an existing query,
 1 containing summarized info,
 1 that connects 3 data sources (2 points).

e)      2 relevant reports for your domain, one of them being grounded on a query as data source.
(1 point).

In your documentation please mention sub-titles and/or details about every object created in
your database (bad examples: Query #1, 2 or Report #1, 2), design (Design View for all objects),
and the output (relationships, Datasheet View for tables and queries, Form/Report View for
forms and reports).

 Deadlines:

-          Individual topic discussions (chosen domain, database structure, storyboard upload
attempt): NO DEADLINE
-          Upload on Moodle platform deadline: 01/06/2023. Teachers provide feedback if the
project is sent at least 2 days before deadline. Students are allowed to improve their work
according to teacher’s suggestions;

-          Project presentation: Week #13.

The projects will be presented in person during the lab hours. The project is worth 20% of your
final grade at this subject.
