PURPOSE OF THE JOB


This position is responsible to carry out all operations activities at the terminal related to gantry operations, tank
farm operations, safe & sound inwards and outward movement of tank lorries and other modalities, safety checks
etc.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Direct Reporting : AM Terminal / Shift Supervisors

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 Know KHT (infra)structure and operations;


 Know KHT policy, implement it when fulfilling his/her work
KHT structure and operation
duties;
 Fulfil personal as well as departmental objectives and targets
 Ensure all activities are performed safely, within relevant
regulatory and company requirements, and in accordance with
HSE standards
 Ensure company and 3rd party compliance with all relevant
HSE: General Compliance regulatory requirements as well as all Company HSE and
operational standards, policies and practices
 Participate in safety‐related drills and exercises
 Carry out role specified in the Emergency Response Plan during
emergency situations
 Support and attend facility HSEC meetings as required
 Responsible to perform on a daily basis all operational modalities
(Tank Farm, Pipe / Line, Truck) Activities may include: changing
manifold connections, Tank Cleaning and Line Heating, Gas
Freeing, Pigging and lining up Terminal Facilities with Jetty and
with ultimate customers.
 Carry out a variety of duties to maintain the efficient and safe
operation of various facilities to ensure receipt, storage and
import/export of products are carried out in accordance with

company’s policy & procedures
 Execute & ensure pre ship arrival accessories checklists as per
berth occupancy Schedule and monthly shipment plan.
 Carryout Minor Maintenance jobs for smooth terminal
operations
 Align and set up tanks, pumps and pipelines for product transfer
purposes and also ensure a proper tank line up in the operations
area in an organized manner

 Ensure that effective coordination prevails between terminal
services and tank trucks
 Carry out effective loading operation and develop objective to
avoid operational and other miscellaneous losses.
 Ensure a proper inspection of lorries as per SOP
 Ensure all hose pipe connections to lorries are properly fitted and
tightened to avoid Leakage / spillage
 Ensure the connection of earth clamps, decanting hoses and
make sure all manifold valves and lorries valves are opened
appropriately and suction line is properly primed.
 Carry out the entire cycle of filling tank lorries with the required
product and quantity
 Weighing of empty and loaded lorries at weighbridge in proper
way
 Physical dipping, Temperature & Gravity monitoring
 Lorries calculations by using different ASTM tables i.e. 53, 54, 23,
24 & 85° F etc.
 Maintain tanks Loss/Gain calculations by using different ASTM
tables i.e. 53, 54, 23, 24 |& 85°F etc.
 Maintain daily measurements of quantity, temperature, gravity
and other relevant details of petroleum products at site.
 Perform in accordance with company HSE standards and safety
procedures.
 Maintain knowledge of industry terminal regulations and ensure
that procedures are performed in accordance with them.
 Respond to emergencies related to terminal, pipeline, rail or
marine related issues
 Performs regular (safety) observation rounds and monitors the
good state of the terminal equipment and infrastructure; reports
non-compliances and identifies areas of improvement.
 Performs regular (safety) observation rounds geared towards a
proper execution of (maintenance) works (in compliance with
permit to work).
 Ensures good housekeeping of the terminal plot and equipment.
 Performs 1st line maintenance activities in close coordination
with technical department.
 Other responsibilities as and when assigned by the management
Key Performance Indicators
 Maintain and fill daily area inspection checklist /utility checklist. Show evidence of finding during visit
and follow up with Supervisor
 Demonstrate personal contribution towards achieving KHT targets in terms of Terminal efficiency e.g.,
timely unloading of ship cargo , Export pumping & Truck Loading operations etc

QUALIFICATION AND
LEVEL OF QUALIFICATION OR COMPETENCE

1. Education DAE / B.Tech


 Basic computer skills (Internet browsers, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) –
user’s level;
2. Computer skills
 Information systems used at KHT that are necessary to perform
entrusted work duties.
3. Languages  English & Urdu - proficient;
