CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION OF THE REPORT

Introduction
This report is on internship experience in Irshad Hussain and co private Ltd. Irshad Hussain and co Private
Ltd is the well-known construction company having major experience in Construction industry and have
major project in Abbottabad area of Pakistan. During the internship I worked with different people from
different departments from which I got practical experience of understanding about corporate world of how
companies carry out there day to day tasks including Customer Relationship Management, Marketing,
Finance and Human resource management. This report comprises of an examination of the business
activities of the organizations as well as the business goods those organizations have produced. A
secondary objective of this report is to demonstrate the practical application of my classroom knowledge as
well as the learning and experience I have gained while working for the organization.

Purpose and Aim

To fulfil the needs as well as the requirement of the Business administration programme that is provided at
the COMSATS University Abbottabad Campus, and to gain the practical exposure of the corporate world
and activities that are carried out by companies in the real world, and how they satisfy their customers and
maximize their profitability, is the primary and most important purpose of the entire report.

Irshad Hussain Pvt Ltd provided me with the opportunity to hone my talents and put what I've learned in
the classroom to use in the commercial world. It not only boosted my conversation skills but also my other
networking abilities.

Scope of Report

The Internship report covers my experience of working with Irshad Hussain Private Ltd. It discusses the
Customer Relationship Management, Marketing practices, 8ps of Services, and some Marketing
implementations. The report also contains an overview of the entire history of the firm and focuses mostly
on the strategic processes that the company has implemented to maintain its level of growth and
development. At the end of the report, there is a list of recommendations that the company can implement
to improve performance and increase the value they bring to the construction sector.
Limitations of the Study
When working for a corporation, you will inevitably be subject to certain restrictions imposed by the
company, including restrictions on the sharing of sensitive information, information regarding finances,
and strategic information. In my particular circumstance, there were some constraints that prevented me
from acquiring more in-depth information regarding their strategies and some of their procedures. The
following is a list of some of the constraints that are associated with my internship:

 Limitations on the Information about Irshad Hussain Private Ltd.’s finances, sensitive information,
and strategic information

 Restrictions in authority as an internee

 Restriction to access of primary data

 Limited access of information due to rules and regulations

Methodology of the Study

My six-week internship at Irshad Hussain Private Ltd. served as the basis for this internship report. The material
came from both primary and secondary sources, with my personal observations, interviews with the employees I was
working with, and other daily tasks serving as secondary sources. I was also observing every activity that other
employees were doing

This internship report consists of four Chapters, overall description of those chapter is given below:

CHAPTER 1

This chapter contains the report's introduction as well as the report's structure, which outlines how it will address the
Construction company.

CHAPTER 2

It consists of an introduction to the organization, which is Irshad Hussain Private Ltd, its history, organizational
structure, and hierarchy, and a description of the products and services that Irshad Hussain Pvt Ltd have been
offering in the market since its formation.

CHAPTER 3

During my time as an intern at Irshad Hussain Private Ltd., I was tasked with several different projects, and in this
chapter, I will describe what I did for those projects and what I learned from those experiences. I will also include
any relevant facts about those jobs.

CHAPTER 4

In Chapter 4, I discuss my personal observations about Irshad Hussain Pvt Ltd during the internship time, as well as
my findings, recommendations, and my experience working there. Not only would this assist them in improving
their overall performance, but it will also help them enhance their overall performance.

Introduction of Allied Group Private Ltd and Construction Industry of

Pakistan

Construction Sector
Construction sector is the most crucial element of any economy in the world and as the backbone

of development that has forward linking with other sectors as well, construction sector contributes

to social economic development that increases the employment

Construction Sector in Pakistan

Pakistan is currently in a stage of development and the construction industry has experienced rapid
expansion. Following the agricultural sector, the construction industry now accounts for between 30 and 35
percent of all employment in Pakistan, which is a sign of the country's economic development. By creating
many jobs and paying substantial taxes to the Pakistani government to help the country deal with its
faltering economy, the construction industry has played a significant part in helping Pakistan deal with its
unemployment problem.

According to the Pakistan Economic Survey, the construction industry accounts for 2.53% of Pakistan's
GDP and employs 7.61% of the country's labor force.

Because of China Pakistan got a lot of boot in their construction sector some construction works are:
CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) and pf investments of China and Pakistan in infrastructure
projects that includes highways, power plants, dams, and railway lines.

Pakistan's construction industry is expected to grow by 5.1% in 2022. And more percentages are expected
for 2023, because the construction industry was temporarily halted due to the COVID-19, but construction
developments have now resumed, and Pakistan is expecting a lot of construction work ahead.

Introduction of Irshad Hussain Private Ltd

Irshad Hussain Private Ltd offers a complete range of pre-construction and post construction
services. The team of IH Ltd keeps a base of foundation of mutual respect and trust that they
gain through positive and mutual relationships with their clients, engineers, architects, contractors,
subcontractor's, suppliers add their labor force. IH Ltd has a policy of encouraging shared
performance responsibility that ensures the highest professional service possible on the projects
they take responsibility. IH Ltd was established in 2007 having its main head office in Abbottabad. IH Ltd
was founded by Irshad Hussain, Engineer Abad Ali is acting as the Managing Director while Engineer
Shahab Khan is acting as the project director, IH Ltd is registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council
(PEC) and holds license of C-3 category with PEC, IH Ltd also has registration with Army Housing
Directorate GHQ Rawalpindi.

Matrix Structure
IH Ltd contains matrix structure, Managing Director is Irshad Hussain, HR Manager is Suleman Hussain,
Quality surveyor Manager is Saleem Jafari, Finance Manager is Khuwaja Rasheed Pandit, Project Director
is Shahab Khan, Marketing Manager is Khuwaja Saleem, and their Manufacturing Manager is Athar Khan.
Their project manager teams lie under project manager which is Saleem Khair and Supervise by project
Director which is Shahab Khan.

IH Ltd believes that one of the primary goals of preconstruction is to identify team goals. Initially, a
draught is scheduled that incorporates the goals with the construction activities and displays logic
relationships and potential team goal conflicts. The pre-construction schedule serves as a guide for design
development decisions, resulting in better budgeting, quality assurance, and procurement.

In addition, IH Ltd. offers construction management services, which ensure the client that the construction
